As I see several members have tried dating sites with varying degrees of success, maybe it would be interesting to list these sites and review them a bit. What dating sites have you tried and how would you rate them?

(PS : I tried none so far - I never saw a dating site for travellers and I never tried any "normal" ones)

I only got one date out of it. And there was one woman who was interested, but she was into BDSM, which I am not interested in.

I hate dating sites, they can suck my ballz!

the only dating site i got anything out of was plentyoffish - not exactly a date because she was just looking for friends. we found each other nice but there was no chemistry or much in common. on loopy love a number of females made first contact - their profiles never had anything even remotely attractive or that could even vaguely suggest we were compatible, their messages were always something like 'wana chat?', and nearly all of them lived too far for there to be any point. on aspieaffection the only contact i had from anyone was from a con artist. i was refused service by eharmony.
Given the male-to-female ratio in online dating, if you're male, unless you're exceptionally attractive in some way (an Adonis, a CEO, that sort of thing) it's pointless.

most dating sites that have been mentionned on this site seem to be aimed to a US audience. I still have not seen many European profiles on those sites after a random bit of browsing. Does Europe have different dating sites then (I checked cupid.com, plentyoffish and match.com out of interest but there is really not many Europeans on it)

I hear internet dating is all about looks. Lots of men, few women, and just like the bar.
