At the end of August I wrote about a fling I had with a guy. Well I could not stop thinking about him for weeks, then it wore off until last week when a friend told me he was attending the same Halloween party as me! I spent a week choosing the outfit. Everything was fine when I saw him although my friend kept joking about my recent weight loss.

At the end of the night I did end up with him but it seems he is still very into his ex-girlfriend. He is friendly, chilled and a gentleman but a few remarks made me wary, he made a joke about prozac that made me assume he has little idea about mental health problems, he is a little dull and not that sparky or of great intelligence but pretty. Since last Saturday I have almost felt like I have fallen in love he made me feel safe and relaxed and it was nice to feel like I had a partner with me at a party. It felt like I belonged it was an experience I have rarely felt in life. The next day he avoided talking to me, it was another one-off, it has no future but its okay I know he is not quite right for me.

I'm glad that you realized he's not for you. That's always freeing. "A little dull and not that sparky" isn't the descriptor that comes to mind after spending time conversing with the right guy, so it's good you've decided not to try taking this relationship further.

Haha yes you are right, he is very cute though, but yes we all need someone verbally stimulating though.

Yes definitely I'm attracted to girls that I can talk to on the same level. But at the same time some contradictions go unchecked when you like someone.

I'm not sure everyone likes someone they can talk to on the same level. Before my Granddad went senile he just like lecture people and be right all the time. My Granma was too smart so they got a divorce. His second wife is very nice but not at all bright, she rarely can disagree with him. I think shrinks call this a co-narcissist.
