I stilll can't stop thinking of this girl! EVen though she rejected me in a kind way and I think I freaked her out

everytime I listen to MY FAVOURITE music she's there in my mind
everytime I try to forget about her she's there!
everytime I think about my autism she's there!
everytime I think she's there!! !

It's driving me nuts...! !! !!
I've avoided this girl as much as I could and I keep expecting stuff from her!! !! !! !! !! !! !! !
As a peaceful offering I gave her the picture I drew for her out of friendship NOT girlfriend type.

I just want to her to say "hi!" to me once in a while - and I'M too scared to say it first!! !! !

HELP ME!! !! !! !!

I'm male and I just don't know how things work!! !

PS I asked my friend to tell her I was autistic - NOT fully diagnosed yet...

PPS I asked my friend to give it to her.

Practically everyone in my school knows that I am autistic (and proud)

Hello-
If I am not mistaken, you started another thread or two about this already.
Personally, I think hobbies are the solution to many of the world's problems. What are yours? Hobbies (by that I mean things that you enjoy in a constructive way) can also be a way to meet people that share your mutual interest(s).

Well I have this habit of being like Hermione and collecting books - ALL sorts and carrying them around with me (on disc) and I like talking about TV shows - hobbies are that I LOVE psychology and the Social Sciences and Human Rights etc...(I know ironic)...I have an obsession with Isaac Newton, Einstein and child prodigies and the human mind, anything to do with intelligence, computers, file sharing, government oppression, medical dramas, classical music mixed with a type of techno ( I know crazy but it exists)...drawing and the news...

Without these I feel insecure and thick...

I can't stop thinking about her and it stops me from doing these things that I like...

Child prodigies- I used to have a fascination with a certain one, Adragon DeMello- almost an obsession.

I once heard a phrase (it's a bumper sticker-type cliche, I know) "How much rent is she paying you to live inside your head?" but it really put a different spin on things for me.

Maybe if you set aside a certain time to think about her, and set an alarm, to limit the time. You could have your certain "obsession time" to think about ONLY HER as a reward for spending a predetermined amount of time on a different interest. A similar system works for me.

BTW I've had my share of unrequited obsessions about different boys, and only time could take it away.

As for the music are you talking about the kind of thing like (from 1992 I think) the techno version of "O Fortuna" from Carmina Burana? You sound like a well-rounded, interesting person.

I never heard of him but thanks I'll look him up!! ! :D

Anyway the music is from the Sky Digital TV guide section/menu thing(!) and I fell in love with THAT...those are the tunes I can't listen to sometimes because I associate it with a dance...they are really fast like sometimes slow-(ish)...know what I mean?

Thanks for that thought...

This is my first rejection by the way...

Can you give me other suggestions although this one seems the best and the many artists that do classical music mixed with techno? :?: :o

Now you're obsessing about the obsession. Become one with the recursion. I totally flipped over a woman in college in 1976. The relationship flopped (my social clumsiness) and it took a long time to not have her in every thought and to not look for her wherever I went. It was frustrating! And painful. Eventually, the obsession lessened. I still think about her sometimes and hope she's okay and happy.

The one comorbid we desperately need is patience. This will become less of a problem over time if you simply refuse to stop what you're doing when you think of her. I say hi to the thought and keep doing what I was doing. It fades away.

Do you have a link to the SkyDigital music?
Another thing I do is think of what is behind the obsession. These days I get more obsessed about objects- for example, I lost a pen with immense sentimental value, relatively recently. And obsessed about it, tore the house apart looking for it...you can probably imagine...but what was behind it really was that my dad had given it to me long ago, so I put the effort of looking for it (gone forever, I am sure, but I'm still thinking about it sometimes) into the actual relationship with my dad. Does that make sense? So maybe this girl represents to you that you worry that you will never love and be loved in return? Or that you worry you will never be happy?

unfortunatly I don't have a link because they only made it specifically for the TV thing...

But I could try to email them to you? I've only got 6-7 of them I think and won't cost anything (I use gmail)...that is IF you trust me...I kinda have this weird paranoia about giving details.

If you want to I'll do it...

And if you DON'T trust me you could contact Sky Digital yourself (type it into google!)

River Otter, I have somewhat the same system, I hook up with a 12 step group and then for an hour BEFORE the group meets, I give myself the obsession time and really let it whail! then I jump into the shower and go to the hobby meet up, I mean the 12 step meeting and get all stiched up then go home and go to bed and sleep the sleep of the innocent.

and all day I tell myself, "not yet, not yet, we can obsess later, but not yet."

Merle

who has had THREE husbands and lots of "relationships" and have obsessed about every single one!

It's not that I don't trust you, it's that I don't trust anyone.
But that was nice of you to offer.
