and don't want to be with her anymore (and want to be just friends)?

This has happened to me a few times, IT ANNOYS THE CRAP OUTTA ME! She doesn't take a f**king hint that I don't want to be her GF anymore. Next time I see her, I'm gonna tell her to find another man to bother.

no, but i'll tell you what. I've had a woman pretend to like me so i'd help her pass exams, then get back together with her ex while we're seeing each other and then approach me several months after I stop seeing her pretending to like me again. Then in the same breath, asking me to come over and help her revise.

Mate, assume everything that comes out of a woman's mouth is a lie, and you'll be pleasantly surprised when it isn't. If she did something to make you break up in the first place, then she tries to get you back, chances are she's still doing it.

I've got an ex who drops into my life every few years to play handball with my feelings. I've gotten better at envisioning how things are going to end where she's involved.

Don't get me wrong. I loved her, (part of me still does) I just can't live with her. We may still get married. Just not to each other.

Yeah, I've got that problem except switch the genders (yes, that means I am a girl unless you already guessed from my username). I keep telling the guy no but he keeps going back later on. Maybe if I was mean to him, he'd take a hike.........
You can avoid her and start hanging around other girls if you can. Although it may also make her jealous and come at you more. Unless you pretend you have a girlfriend, then she'll either back off or try to tear the two of you apart. Some girls are so annoying. (I'm a tomboy so I don't hang out with girls that much anyway.)
Some girls are pitful and desperate and she may see you as the easiest person to use for a good grade. Normally, I hate being mean to people, but sometimes you just have to if you want to retain your sanity. Tell her to get lost, go find another smart person to bother. If that doesn't work, then try some combacks like "I don't tutor <insert insult here> people." When I insult, I like to use big words they are not likely to understand such as vapid, callous, heinous, loathsome, repugnant, revolting, vile, nefarious, declasse, vacuous, and others. And if she actually knows what you just called her, they yell at her, "Then why the heck do you need me to tutor you for?!?!"
Another idea will work for some girls. If the girl bugging you says words like "like" and "you know" WAY too much, then try mimicing her when saying no. An example is: Girl: "Yo! Mike! I like need a you know, tutor for math class. LIke, math is SOOOOOO hard!! ! Could you like help me and you can you know come over and all?" You: "Yeah, like, I don't like tutor annoying girls like cuz like its SOOOO annoying and a waste of you know, my time." Or you can just say "no" and if she persists, then mimic her speech.
If worst comes to worst, then either refer her to someone else who is smart, tell her to get lost, tell her to have a teacher tutor her, or even better, start charging her impossibly high prices to tutor her.
Best of luck to anyone who has to deal with annoying people like that. Grrrrr. Just thinking of that one guy is enough to make me angry. Oh well, I don't see him ever so haha to him. Anyway, hope this helps or at least gives you guys some ideas. -Power Girl

What was so funny about it? The ideas, the suggestions, the comparisons, or the all too familiar problem? -Power Girl

My ex wanted to get back together when I first dumped her.. I eventually gave in (meant we were split for valentines day though, which was fairly useful). I'd already worked out that a long distance relationship doesn't work, and she needed to get off the computer and find someone who loved her in her own country. *shrug* She needed to have someone "love" her to feel worthwhile. It's telling by the fact that she'd never fallen in love with another woman before me - I was the most conveniently close person when her ex was starting to leave her (and she still got back with him when I managed to dump her for good).

Depends how close you got. If you had sex, forget about being friends. Having a clean break is the only way to go in that situation, even if you have to avoid her at every opportunity.

It is a waste of time making hints. You have to tell her straight out it is over between you. I know that seems mean but hinting around the place is worse in the long run because then she will still have hopes that she can change your mind.

Actually, she has since moved out of state. the last time I saw her was about 9 yrs ago. The last I heard, she had not one but TWO Autistic children with a guy she's been with. I could think "Better you than me", or I could think of it as a cosmic joke.

I tend to remember the good times and wish her well.
