Hey guys. Its been awhile. I've been kind of down, and haven't had much time to come to WP. However I thought that now that I actually have some free time, I should ask the community about my revived interest in romance.

During the school play, I met a girl whom I thought was a 'possible' or even a 'likely'. Tonight there's a dance, and I want to ask her for her phone number (even though I'm chronically afraid of telephones). So I was wondering (still being a newcomer to the game)--Should I ask for her phone number, or e-mail address? If the former, how often should I call? And--most important--how should I ask?

You go to school with her? Would it be possible to be friends with her at school first and ask her for her number later, when you're more certain she'll say yes?

Yeah, I know her pretty well. I'm just not sure how to phrase the question.

How did the dance go? You didn't ask yet?

I'd say just ask her if you can call her sometime and go from there. In some social groups that sort of move would be respected and in others you might be teased, so you'll probably have the best idea of what would be best in your circle.
