my least favorite kind of joking is when a signifigant other will say....hey...I think that girl over there thinks you're cute....(I am not attracted to girls)....the same goes for guys...I don't like it when my partner tells me that he thinks someone else finds me attractive. It give me the creeps...

I am not a lesbian..I am not openly or even covertly seeking out other romantic partners..and joking like that can really upset me...moreso than it should I guess...
I would prefer jokes about me weight/intelligence any day....

So to all you aspies or other PDD's etc...who are..or have been in relationships....what is your least favorite kind of joking that you might get from your sig. other?

Anything emasculating. I can make fun of myself in that way, and I don't care and probably expect my friends to make the occasional joke that I'm gay/effeminate/unmanly cause I know I do it to them. But when a chick I'm with or interested in says anything to suggest that I'm not the ubermanly-man that I obviously am, it makes me wanna curl up into a ball and cry :(

Yes ladies, pay attention to this one. The male ego is a fragile thing, but you are never ever to repeat that!

I'm not sure it's just men with fragile egos. Ever listen to a woman try and talk her way out of a compliment? It's surprising how resistant they can be to, especially if it's about a physical feature that they've personally identified as not being their best. Maybe women are hard to build up and men are easy to knock down.

no i find a lot of women talk bad about themselves because they are fishing for compliments. this is true. men are easy to knock down because we also have roles we are supposed to play that make us feel insecure. if anything if a girl says she thinks shes fat, and i say, haha yeah you're a little thick, it actually works out in my favor. she sees it as teasing and flirting in a cocky way, and girls like that. it sets off some kind of reaction where they suddenly want your approval. again this is fact and busting on girls actually gets them to like you better than being nice to them ever does.

I hate any jokes even remotely related to my appearance or the way that I move or do a task. Even if they're supposed to be funny because they're "obviously" not true, it will still hurt my feelings and make me self-conscious.

Any sort of jokes that are really attempts to undermine my self-esteem are bad. I remember turning to one guy I dated and saying, "Look, I'm your girlfriend, not your sister. You're supposed to be nice to me."

I like all humor, im a joke whore... but i don't like it when somebody tells me i act a certian way, when i know its a complete lie, and they are just doing it to get a reaction out of me, and they repeat it over, and over, and over again. I want to hit those people.

Except for sarcasm, irony, and satire, I really dislike most forms of humour, but one form of humour I really, really hate is the kind that focuses on a person's past or on a person's faults. Like making fun of a person who did something wrong a long time ago that they regret, as an example of the first, or making fun of a person in a wheelchair as an example of the second. But for some reason I don't have the same problem with people making fun of psychological disorders and mental disabilities that I do with people making fun of physical disabilities.
Another form of humour I really, really hate is racist humour. People who tell racist jokes just need to either shut their gabs or do something useful with them.
