waiting for godot is a play about two guys waiting for a third guy (godot), who never shows up.

just feeling pithy over whimsical crap while watching the debates, i guess

We had this discussion in my English class one day last semester.

I constantly feel like I'm "waiting for Godot." Not necessarily about love and dating, but in general. I have a bad habit of wasting my life and just waiting for other people to get things done or waiting for things to just happen, instead of just getting things done myself.

But Godot probably does not exist. There's no use in passively wasting your life waiting...

Godot is failure, ratage, disillusion, hope for the wrong thing, what we live every day. The only recipe is poke fun about it. In The Castle K. (Kafka) looks for a job he will never get. Perhaps Obama? Stevenson. Dukakis, Gore ...

Ahh, Godot. It was the only really good thing I read in high school english, and only because I picked it for my "free choice" book :)

Not that it's any better in college, I've only taken one course with reading requirements of literature, and those were mostly meh anyways.

I always loved reading, but I think for the case of english class, I didn't like any of it because we always had to write about what we read, and I have a writing disability that makes that hard.
