A girl starts to date a guy with a mustache. Everything is going well, except that she secretly finds mustaches unattractive because they remind her of her father. Should she try to communicate this to him? If so, how?

If you ever kiss him, sometimes, just abruptly stop kissing him and then say stuff like "Eck! Your mustache is tickling me!" And then if he tries to kiss you later, stop him and say "I'm not in the mood to be tickled."

The mustache will almost certainly be gone by your next date!

Depending on the guy and the relationship, the girl may be able to be quite frank about this without hurting his feelings.

I agree. However, I have a way of saying things so bluntly that I come across as forceful and demanding, as if I'm giving orders. I want to learn how to express things more subtly, especially in the case of small details. This is primarily relevant to early on in a relationship, before the guy fully understands the way in which I communicate.
