Oh-kay, this is going to seem strange... but I was wondering if there's any association between people's level of attractiveness and the people they date... I mean, I "observe" some really fat, loudmouth, smelly, unhygienic, etc... douchebags, with really nice and pretty girls. It kind of makes me sick. Do I have to become an unhygienic, fat as*hole to get a girlfriend? I feel leagues above this girl who likes me at the moment, and I don't want to be with her because I'm just not attracted to her physically... but I KNOW, I'm better looking, smarter, cleaner... than these as*holes with girlfriends... why do all the f**ktards get good looking girls?

Because many women are attracted to men who they think are strong. Strength in many women's eyes is aggression and, sometimes, even unreasonable aggression. They want to be protected and feel safe. I've observed this exact thing -- a very HOT woman fawning over a friend of mine, who was over 450 pounds, did not shower or shave, has food in his beard and everywhere else on him and around him, and talked loud and boisterous. She couldn't get enough of him.

They don't like us because we try to do the things we are supposed to do: be kind and helpful to them, like opening doors, etc. That is seen as weakness today. It changes constantly. I just gave up caring about it and have decided that the only thing harder to get right when dealing with women are job interviews.

Cause they got one thing we dont have, social skills.

I think it's more like this:
Is he or she is really attractive, either:
A) They're too good for you, don't even bother trying.
B) They're single? Must be something wrong with them.
C) They're probably a b***h/ as*hole.

And if they're really nice, people often feel they're not good enough for them, standard inferiority complex.
So often the pretty people date the not-pretty people.

Mind a little aspie bluntness?

You don't sound like you're as nice as you think you are, talking about leagues, how you're better than other people and such. A little humility is sexy as hell.

Girls seek 2 main things in guys:

1-Your social status
2-Your career status

I kind of suspect that about a lot of women. Which unfortunately, if true, means I'm not very desirable!

Bah, women don't like money until it is obvious. The one thing in life I seem to get right is making money and they don't turn their head. Although, maybe that is because I don't flaunt it?

How do you explain the loads of men who aren't high up on those ladders, but have girlfriends? (And not the last-pickings kind that nobody else wanted, either.)

In Guatemala, a man's career appeared to be more important to his girlfriend and most of all to the girl's parents. This is because it was a reasonable fear that she might be miserable or even die if she married a poor man. I just don't see this same kind of thing happening with the same frequency in the USA or other countries where people don't die of starvation or lack of potable water on a regular basis. Just because there are some women who are after wealth and status doesn't mean that's what's on every woman's mind. I've refused more than a couple guys directly because of their money/career and the way that status and spending power meant so much to them. They expected me to be impressed by it, which I found gravely insulting. I care how a man meets -my- standards, not what his neighbors think of him.

Maybe the girls see them as a do-it-yourself project?
Cheap to obtain, and after a little paint job and some nails (not litteraly I hope... auch)
They got them selves a SUPERMAN... which is ofcourse about the time she gets bored with him and moves to the next ugly bastard within reach.

Honestly, am I supposed to see a great disparity of worth there?
