So far, all of my attempts to date have led to the worst of Oregon's endless invalid supply. Honestly, how hard is it to hold a job, not jeopardize your finances, hold a marriage together, and keep from having accidental children?

Currently, I work full-time, and when I'm not occupied with my job, I use the weekend to take the motorcycle off-road. Other activities include jogging, weight-lifting, skateboarding, auto repair, and writing fanfiction.

I cook, clean, know basic home repair skills, and have a preference for merlot, as hard liquor just doesn't taste right.

I'm looking for the right woman who has her head on straight, doesn't necessarily have a career, but a job that pays the bills (as I have), and isn't the crazy pet fanatic that loves her cats/dogs more than her boyfriend?

A driver's license and a running, CLEAN car are also a must. No more of this "I'm scared to drive, because it's not cute", or "I like to keep my car's interior looking like the neighborhood dumpster". If you can't show a passion or respect for your car, you sure can't handle the passion or respect I deem necessary in a relationship.

I don't care what your hobbies are, as long as they aren't illegal, and your parents don't cringe when you walk out in public.

Finally, no mind-altering meds, period! I'm not dealing with people who need drugs to keep them from doing stupid, desperate, or suicidal things. If there's something important you want to achieve in life, you must have the motivation to obtain it with your own, God-given faculties.

Applicants, if there are any, please respond via PM. People who are going to whine or comment, do so while keeping constructive criticism in mind.

Well, at least you know what you're looking for. The only input I can give is good luck with finding one who fits the listed requirements.

Why is it necessarily the car that has to be clean?

That being said, how do you arrive at the conclusion that one has to keep stuff clean to have passion about something? I don't keep my room all that clean, but that's because I don't spend that much time in it except to sleep or use my computer when I'm home... otherwise I'm either at school or at the church volunteering (both of which I take very seriously)...

Maybe the guy doesn't want a slob as a lover. If a girl can't maintain her car interior, how can she maintain the more complicated aspects of life?

If you're going to be a big girl or boy, you have to keep your stuff clean and organized. Your vehicle, much like your outer appearance, is what people judge you on. A filthy interior, therefore, shows someone who is a slob, and has no drive to succeed in life.

Furthermore, I'm tired of being crammed into perfectly functioning cars that are just completely covered in garbage. A stock interior with otherwise superb upholstery is NOT a dumpster!

Driving is my passion. Simply stomping on the gas, and cranking the wheel is not enough. A car is finely tuned instrument, that must be treated like a beautiful woman. If you did the same to a woman, you'd be slapped, or worse. Also, even if you only paid $1k for a used car, with the right care, you can restore it to stock, and have a vehicle that feels like it's brand new off the showroom floor.

Therefore, it's a matter of respect. If a person can't respect their property or themselves, why should I believe they would respect me in a relationship?

Because different people put different values to parts of their life. Not many share your same view of a car, or are willing to spend the time you do on their car. This doesn't mean they will ignore you or whatever...

They could be passionate about something else, playing an instrument, philosophy... building rockets... anything really. Just one facet of their life is not nearly enough to judge someone with.

I can see a little of what you are saying, if the car is a complete mess... and everything else they own is a complete mess... then something is probably amiss. But using the car as a primarily criteria is foolish.

Perhaps, but both of my parents and myself are tired of all our friends living in pig sties. Every time we visit a family friend, we feel we need a tetanus shot just by looking at their trashed houses, cars, etc.

It's like all the people I meet are ret*d, selfish, and filthy animals. I just want to be with someone who's on my level, and understands why I do the things I do.

So you're one of those "cleanliness = godliness" people? I can understand not wanting to drive a trash can around (I make a decent effort myself to remove garbage from my car, moreso than anyone else in my family, although my desk is a completely different story), but that shouldn't be used as a measuring stick for eligibility.

For example, I'm a full-time college student, and I volunteer upwards of 20 hours a week at a church, and don't necessarily have the time to clean everything up. Using cleanliness as a measuring stick for "respect" would be like me saying that "you don't volunteer any time for anything, so you must obviously not respect other people in need." I certainly wouldn't use the latter to exclude anyone from the possibility of dating. I may like to volunteer my time, but I also know that there are people out there with different opinions, each of which are valid, and I shouldn't judge them according to how I live my own life, just as you shouldn't judge based on yours.

Why are pets so bloody important, anyway? They don't do anything useful, and you can't even legally eat them.

They provide WUV and SNUGGLES.

But you don't strike me as the type of guy who spends a lot of time craving snuggles! ;)

My cats have been with me for ten happy years.

When I meet a guy who can even come close to that, I might love him as much as I do them. :)
