Is there any significance to a girl giving you gifts of food?

A little information, this is someone I like... but for a while she was going out with my friend. I don't know where that stands right now.

I've hung out with her at a couple of parties, and she is very nice.

She stopped by my place to drop off my Friend's wife and at the same time gave me some cookies and milk. A very thoughtful gesture.

Could I read more into this? Should I?

The only problem I really have is that she's a very friendly giving person. I took some cake home she brought to a party .

Oh yeah, the cookies are amazing. :D

I think that's very thoughtful of her. Probably means....she likes you! I wouldn't read anything into her gesture; just means what it means: She cares about you and made something just for you. She seems really nice!

Or she thinks you're hungry :D
Maybe you could ask her on a date? Give her flowers?

I will OFFER people food if I'm indifferent to them. I will COOK only for those I like. I will slave in the kitchen for a guy I'm into. Does she LIKE like you? Nobody knows that except for her. BUT It sounds like she took a bit of effort to know she was going to be dropping by your place, to bring you both the cookies and the milk. wink wink.

That's how my past relationship got off the ground. Every time I ran into her she had some kind of food or gift for me. But she's just that type of girl. A part of me was always jealous when I saw her offer someone else food, even though I know it was silly, it's just human nature I guess.

If she made the cookies especially for you then it is a very significant gesture.

Agreed.

Unless, of course, she's constantly baking for Tom, Dick, and Harry, too. I haven't known any unmarried women who go around baking for everybody though.

All I can think is it is lucky that you are not on the gf/cf diet...

Ah what the hell. She likes you!

Maybe. Who knows?

Well, I just sent an email saying thanks for the cookies. I'll see what happens.

I'm not quite certain that the cookies were made specifically for me, I think she may have just made cookies and decided to give me some. I think...

But buying some milk to go along with it, that some how means more to me. It's even more thoughtful...

She did give me a nice smile when she left. :D

I think she knows that I like her. I asked her to dance. I slept over at her place after her party. (which might have meant something to her, she wanted someone to stay the night... and I was the only one who did.)

Anyway, either as a friend or a girl friend... she's someone very special...

You would rather get a gift card than home made food?

Beware of women bearing baked goods. 8O

Seriously, I'd say she likes you.

I've reeled in a few dates with choc cake in the past myself. I used to work in a bakery...I may not communicate well...but I can bake...it helped.

Homemade cookies = Tantamount to seduction.

I'll just mention I make a wicked batch of homemade cryoprotectant (for perfusions) in the lab. Other reagents too......with love from the lab. I'm not especially romantic but I mean well.

Would this have anything to do with the drop in the male population around Fairbanks? :chin:
