what is he up to anyway? he shot his arrow at me, then what? just left me like that?

did he run out of arrow so he couldnt shoot at her as well?

did he hate me and just wanted to hurt me?

I don't think of Cupid as the Valentine's Day icon, because I know he will be perpetually immortalized as the guy peeing in statue form (featured prominently in the Tom Hanks movie "The Money Pit").

On the other hand I think Cupids arrows are sort of available. That means there is a bit of control over the chance of someone loving you. The fact I spend 10 years to even get the arrow not slipping from my fingers doesn't change in the end it was sort of flying (or rather just stolen by my gf and inserted herself). The basic message: we are not without means, even if it's f****** hard.
