Does Aspie Affection work? Has anyone had success with it, and if they have, how is it working out?

I'm just wanting to know a little more about it. I'm a little wary of dating sites, and online dating isn't something that I'm used to yet.

No, when I used to go on there, it was either empty or 2 people online. I met a good friend on there though :) Your probably better off looking at the singles list on this site.

I recently met someone on AA, but we're just friends right now.

I got messages from nice guys, but they're all 3000+ miles away.

Yeah I went on there and didn't see anyone in my area so I figured I would be better off posting something here because of the greater numbers, if I ever decide to do the long distance thing.

I'd have a hard time believing this works for most people unless your either a real attractive female (in which case you have the grief of getting hits all day from people you have no connection with and whom half of which will get nasty if you say no or ignore em) or unless you're the type of guy who's willing to ask out half the women on the list - if your not that kind of guy you could probably go 4 or 5 months with maybe 2 views of your profile.

Maybe that's just my cynical take on forum post dating, but eharmony doesn't even seem to work well and that even goes ahead and breaks the 'who's for who' barrier for everyone right off the start. My suggestion for people - if you want to shop around do it here, in the forums as its probably the closest thing you'll get to natural progression, having any sense of serendipity with it, and of course you'll be able to enjoy people's company and make solid decisions on yes or no rather than having the conversation practically start with "will you go out with me?" as you initiate contact.

Perhaps people are turned off by the occasional scammer on AA.

I've been a member for almost a month and I am currently talking to 2 guys on there. It's early days though, so I'm not dating either of them at the moment.

ahh, slight mistruth their. I notice that i have three profile views all from the same girl. Seen her on wrong planet and she seems both beautiful and interesting. Other side of the planet though.

And there weren't that many I found all that interesting.

I have made one good friend on there, however.

I'm just going to assume it's zero... until proven otherwise.

I've gotten 38 views of my profile so far.
