...that I am tired of waiting to see if my friend can start a relationship. It was becoming pure torture.

The main issue was where she would get a job after she graduates from school this August. She mentioned that she couldn't do anything long-distance (I, on the other hand, would have been willing to travel).

I originally tried to be patient and see if I could wait that long. But apparently, I can't.

I posted an entry in the Eligible Odd-Bods thread.

It has been my experience that, unless you are some sort of irresistable chick-magnet, the wait can be eternal. If you want anything to happen, you must initiate. I know it sucks, but is is true, mostly. Then again, I'm probably the last guy that should give dating advice....

I have been initiating.

However, if I hadn't found anyone by the time my friend gets a job, and she gets a job in either Austin or San Antonio, I will consider a relationship with her.

Hmmm....part of me says go for it. But 6 months is quite a long time to wait, considering that there are no guarantees of anything.
