Is it just me, or does anyone else notice that when you look into an aspie's eyes, you can practically see their souls? They're just so full of feeling all the time, and I'm not sure if it's just me or if anyone else has experienced this.

Well, I'm aspie, but I've never noticed this about other aspies, not that I really know any.
People tell met that I am pretty transparent though, if that is at all the same.

It's a metaphor, and more to the point, it's a feeling I guess.

I know I am incredibly transparent.

Aspies tend to generally have stronger emotions than NT's (partly contributing to, or perhaps because of, the general gravity with which we approach situations), they just suppress them more (extreme cases would be similar to vulcans on Star Trek)... Combine that with the general conception that emotional states are reflected in the eyes, and that would explain not only what the OP said, but also why aspies tend to avoid eye contact: it's because of the powerful emotions that we are trying to suppress...

I feel exactly what you mean. When I was first looking around here, that quality struck a cord in me and it helped me feel welcomed.

To be honest, that quality and how people communicate here inspired me to give this place a try and not fade back into the shadows of life that I am accustomed to.

I concur. I believe that because we suppress it so much, when we do let it out it's very concentrated and pure. I've depressed, comforted, enraptured, and terrified people with my gaze when I'm trying to get a feeling across. It's that intense. I tend not to make full-on eye contact with someone unless I'm trying to let them know how I'm feeling, which is often extremely difficult to express through words. This practice leads itself to brief moments when people actually understand me and my emotional state. I feel that there are few moments better than those in my life.
