I've still been hung up about being stood up by this one woman3 months after the fact so I finally decide to get ride of the number which was just sitting there for me to look at nostalgically.

Now a few years ago I heard about writing the name of the thing or person that’s the source of you're proverbial chip on your shoulder, and putting it in a ash tray and burning it. sure it sounded like a superstition but Understood the cathartic reasoning behind it. So I tried and sure enough it was surprisingly relieving., I simply symbolized the piece of paper as the problem and it felt like I was destroying the problem it self.

So just an interesting idea next time you’re having that really hard break up write the name of that person or if you have the number burn it in an ash tray more for the sake of safety but It does have some strange ceremonial feeling as well in my case considering I don't smoke. I thought it seemed like a superstition but it’s more for the sake of catharsis. I know this sound a little strange but it worked for me.

Also out of curoiuisty has anyone else tried this as well?

I haven't tried it, but if it works thats cool. I can think of a couple of times it might have done some good for me. I'll keep it in mind, just in case. :)
