Eveyone thinks I'm in love with her. Apparently I seemed jealous for hating her douchy boyfriend who hated me first and I'm not the only one who hates him. Not that that's the only reason...apparently. I've suffered this type of accusation before, like of liking her old friend.
She's one of the guys and that's how I see her. How can I make that obvious?

I'm desperate to solve this. It's complicating the brotherhood, okay?

You can't. Now it is certainly possible to care about someone who you don't desire. As a person, if nothing else. But. at your probable age, teens to early twenties, that isn't a norm. So you are stuck. You cannot convince others that you have her best interests at heart. That isn't how normals are wired and that is what you have to deal with.

Sucks, I know. But that is reality.

In my experience there is no way to 'solve' this, people will think what they will and due to our poor use of non-verbals nothing we can say or do will make them think otherwise. I can tell you it'll probably be most obvious by the way you look at her.

I'd say just accept how it looks to others and try to avoid doing things that make it look as though you like her more than just as a friend. I'm not saying be hostile just don't be quite so interested. I've been on both sides but speaking from the boyfriends point of view it is one of the most annoying and stressful things in a relationship, just give them some space.

People don't think every guy likes every girl and they're so convinced about this. I just want to be friends like with my guy friends. So does she. I told her she's my bro and we've been friends for so long. The problem is only the false accusations.

As for "space", she can be annoyingly overly social.

You're in your 16s huh, i'm 22 and the people around me were more ok with being my friends even though their BFs were around when i was in college (ofc i wasn't even trying to make a hit on most of them, just plain talking, some of them even found it amusing to tease me  ) that would be when i was around my twenties, wait till then. =/

Just don't worry about it, so long as she knows how you feel it should turn out fine in the end. People always thought me and my best friend were dating, didn't hurt.

Try get yourself a girlfriend. Problem solved. :D Or even ask someone out who you know isnt intrested in you, then everyone will realise your not intrested in the female friend your referring to.

I know you don't like her like that, but I can totally understand why her boyfriend got pissed. Would you want your girlfriend hanging around another guy, that she had a great connection with all the time? When she is dating other guys, respect their boundries, if they aren't too unreasonable. It doesn't matter if you think they are douchy, or not.

My ex-girlfriend had another guy hanging around all the time, and it irritated the crap out of me, because he was constantly interfering, but the thing was, he actually tried to ask her out a long time ago, so he did have feelings for her, at least at some point.

BTW she dumped him a while ago. That's just past "evidence". Also, the accusations are getting more persistant.
