Have you ever adopted the obsession, at least to some extent of a person you were enamored with?
When i first met Flakey...who I eventually started working for...his interest in me manifested in his adoptation of my sock creature obsession....He took my obsession and brought it to new heights of crazy obsessiveness....I was just making sock creatures....he started a website for me...wanted to spend all free time hunting down interesting pairs of socks and so on......(this was before we were dating, mind you)....He kinda over time took my obsession and made it into this big thing of his own...that I was sort of a part of....

Recently I have been spending time with a friend of mine...who's obsession focuses on all manner of millitary regalia (he is a vegetarian pacifist)....and he is way into identifying all the different camoflage patterns....now I am finding myself really fixated upon different camoflage patterns...I have always had a certain level of interest in army surplus stuff since I was a kid...I like all the earth tones and utilitarian designs...and whatnot.....so it is not a complete copycat thign out of the blue....but I understand his excitement over stuff and I find myself ..kinda getting into it.....

This happen to any of youze?

all people with or withoput As can have varying short term interests and obsessions, the problem is, with As individuals is that these obsesssions tend to tak eover their lives. Consume too much time.
i have varying obsesssions that shift. they vary from pharacokinetics ( the delivery of drugs to target organs), forensic science, Aspergers syndrome ideation and now it is picking locks and opening doors.
is it copy cat?
more just AS in my opinion.

not quite....he did not exactly stalk me...he was my boss..well...he did sorta hire me out of the blue...i was friendswith some of his employees.......after a while i was so often invited to hang out with him (and his girlfriend :? )......after work...that after a while it was practicly like I was living there.....he ordered masses of Rockford red heels off the internet.....we started having a weekly sock creature sewing circle at his coffee shop.....he was genuinely interested..IN the sock creatures..I was oblivious to the fact that he was interested in me for the most part until things started getting weird...I mean....that was weird.....It all started when I had just barely met him..and was not even at the point of regularly recognising him...he would show up at art auctions i participated in and "win" all of my sock creatures....
If I have not mentioned before...he is more of a wreckless ADD-type...but kinda spectrumy...

ANyway...um...and then there was the time I was obse--enamoured with this jerk who fancied himself to be an anarchist.....I wound up becoming completely obsessed with the anarchist movements of the past...likesay in the labor movements...Emma Goldman....and whatnot....it carried over into me helping organize may day parades...every year for 5 years....

I think the way forward here is clearly to make some camouflage, anti-war sock puppets.

I think I tried this at one point. It's a shockingly bad way round things.

Well imitation, is said to be a form of flattery, and there is nothing wrong in finding a new interest, some people seem to get stuck one one topic, and they tend to be a little boring. I love army surplus too, I use to got to a place called western surplus in Edmonton, they had some of the coolest stuff, I was always wearing army jackets and boots, they had some great survival gear to.

Only if they have an interest in something that I already found interesting but just hadn't gotten around to examining yet. At other times, whether it has been an S.O. or whether it has been friends, especially with music and a lot of things like that, they were able to show me how they see it - that in and of itself changed how I saw it as well because I was in agreement once I got it.

Well, that can work in your interest. Sleeping with him to gain a promotion is definitely an option here.

Of course, the better option would probably be to completely break contact with him and file for a restraining order, but if you're willing to risk him murdering you or worse, you could keep hanging out with him.
