I'm pretty sure that would depend on several factors, none of which you have specified, like how big the school is, what kind of school it is, how outgoing you are, and how long you'll be there. I mean, if I'm trying to meet a girl named Sally, I'd have much better chances if I got off my ass and went to every damn "People with the Name Sally" convention in existence than if I sat around and did nothing.
