What do you look for in your ideal partner/girlfriend/wife?

Here's mine:
1) Someone who can accept the fact that I'm not ready for the responsiblity that comes with sex
2) Funny
3) Intelligent
4) Someone who loves me
5) Someone I feel comfortable around
6) Someone who just has great chemistry with me
7) Someone who will put up with my Asperger's, and realize that I may act a bit "immature" at times
(optional) I have a thing for blondes, so someone who is blonde.

Someday I want a husband who is:

- A Christian (preferably Catholic)
- Intellectual
- Quiet
- Serious
- Doesn't want kids
- Artistic

And I would prefer to date outside my race; ideally I'd want a husband who is either African-American or Asian.

Please note that this is NOT a personal ad; I don't want to date anyone from this site.

What difference does it make? "Ideal" people don't exist.

My ideal mate:

is an Aspie
is curvy/voluptuous
has a high sex drive (unlike my last girlfriend)
wants to start a family
is goal-oriented

The only reason I say that is because people only look for the initial attraction, especially on the physical level, without paying much heed to either the future or the emotional and spiritual levels of a relationship. That is why most relationships fail...

I look for physical attractiveness. Everything else I can compromise on to some extent. Those of you that wouldn't get together with someone because of that person's religion are really shutting yourselves out for no reason.

Well, what I really want is a 250lb Filipino midget that'll let me dress her up like a horse and ri....

Nah, I just really like petite, dorky girls that're preferably artsy and intelligent, possibly a bit crazy too (though not to the extent that I get stabbed).

Smart, honest, silly, nerdy, sarcastic, curvy, and most importantly, enjoys my presence!

Could that woman please step forward?

And as far as physical things that "do it" for me, I find abnormally tall women who are a bit curvy VERY attractive! Height really isn't an important factor, but there's something about a woman with whom I have to literally look up to make eye contact (or attempt to). I'm 6'1" by the way.

A sense of humour that can be as daft as it is dark
The ability to see all facets of my personality
Open-mindedness both sexual and otherwise
Politicisation that needn't necessarily be the same as mine
Opinions, the ability to stand up for herself, including to me

No one has mentioned age, weight, hair color* or eye color - and few have mentioned race. Was that an omission or are those things not as important in your own 'ideal person' list?

*I take that back, the OP mentioned blonds.

I try to look for people close to my age, late 20s/early 30s.
