I'm sure this has been asked a number of times, but . . .

When you're not at home/work, where do you like to hang out at? I've never met (that I could tell) a female Aspie and think that would probably be my best shot at a relationship. However, if you're anything like me, you're probably not out very much. What would be some good suggestions you'd recommend in meeting Aspie women?

I'm not really too sure (you are the guy that loves my Solid Snake avatar right LOL!) IMO I'm not sure if I'd want to meet another apsie (as a friend maybe but love relationship not sure). :-) No offense but I think if I had a clone my behavior would annoy me LOL! So I wouldn't seek out Aspies to be friends etc. perhaps if I become friends with someone and they just happen to be aspie then that'd be cool. :-) Sorry if I offended you. :-)

I don't go many places. Mostly I visit the library. I walk my dog. I take my grandkids to the park or the mall (there's an indoor play area there). Mostly, I "hang out" on the Internet. ;D

I'm at the library a lot. If you want to run into lots and lots of female Aspies, I'd suggest an anime or comic convention. I'm not an anime fan but I've heard the places are teeming with 'em.

i would say library, but it is on the whole nearly impossible to spot an aspie girl, unless she's quite severe...

perhaps instead of the "premier odd bods" list you shoud create a single aspie females list, might solve your problem

Probably a good idea. It would save a lot of time.

Maybe Odd Bods could be split between male and female members. (Of course the male thread would still be huge, but like I said, easier to search for females then.)

Well perhaps you've already seen one/met one. How can you be so sure? Do we have a sign on our foreheads? One of the reasons female aspieness goes undiagnosed is that it is mistaken for shyness. The girl in question doesn't even have to know.

I like to go training. At gyms and other clubs. It 'suits me because I get to be around other people and talk but if I get shy or I just can't take it anymore I can just return to whatever we're supposed to be doing. In that way it's safe. There's always something you can do, no pressure to succeed sosially. But of course I've got sucky motor skills. Look out for the shy girl that stumbles :P ( I think bad co-ordination is acctually an aspie trait)

Ive had a good idea,

Join a local aspie support group (real life) if there is not one , start one up. Im sure your national autistic society will give you advice and support on it.

Ive heard of a few people who met at support groups so I think its a good idea, and unlike online you can see if you fancy them and have the right chemistry.

I think I might contact my local group for kids and get them to help me set up an adult group in my area :D
