Some people say it is when the world will end or some radical changes. I hope neither happens because I fear of not getting married, having a girlfriend, etc. and those who do believe the world will end then feel not any empathy for me, saying crap like "Get over it", "Accept it and move on", etc. Can I have some guidance on this topic? And, no, even if I do end up in heaven, I won't tolerate dying an unmarried person!

Well, regardless of the condition of the world at that point in time, you do have a couple of years. If worse comes to worse you could try a dating site and mention that you are willing to marry someone for relocation purposes providing someone wants to get out of their country and into yours. Do a little research and find out how long it takes for all the processes to go through, then give yourself that much time to look elsewhere first.

On the other hand, you might want to ask yourself why it is so important that you marry, and evaluate your response. I believe one normally finds the Other person THEN decides to marry.

It's December 21st, 2012. The "end of the world" The only reason for this is the date, 12/21/12. Sounds like a load of crap to me. Anyone with any sense knows this is christian fundamentalist propaganda crapola.

I thought that it was New Age Lunacy Crapola ... maybe it's just another woo-woo- Conspiracy Theory?

It sure isn't fact.

The funny thing is, any christian who predicts the date of the end of the world is full of crap. The Christian scripture clearly says that nobody but God knows the day or the hour...

Nope, no one knows the real end but Him. I read somewhere a while back that the Aztecs..maybe them?...predicted the end in like 2006. We're still here. can't believe everything you read or hear.

People have been predicting the end of the world for centuries. So far, all the dates have fallen through. 2012 is a bit different, as it comes from the 'end' of the Mayan calender. (the date has shifted once or twice due to recalibrations of the calender) Personally, i think that something must've happened to the people making the calender. Either died off or got sick of making a multi-milenia calender that they would never see the end of.

Personally, i doubt it's the end of the world. A turning point, maybe, but not the end. You know how furniture stores are offering "pay nothing until (2 years in the future)?" Well, if it is the end, you might get some free stufff... but don't take my word for it.

The Bible states that the Messiah must come back and rule for a thousand years, then after that will be what is called the White Throne Judgment (right ruling - not condemnation). The Bible uses the word day, but that could be a metaphor for a period of time (like, "in my day"). I would only hope that the kingdom of heaven comes to this world pretty soon.

The world is not going to end in 2012.

Although the world might run out of seafood by 2050...

It's not a Christian prophecy. It is supposed to be the date on which the ancient Mayan calendar finishes. But it fails to take into account that maybe the person carving the calendar just got sick of it, died, or found a new 'special interest' .

Well anyone remember Y2K? That was such a big deal to some people who thought the world was going to end...

First off relax. The last thing you want to do is rush anything only to find out it was a hasty rationalization. I have a good friend who is well researched in many things including ancient civilizations specializing in Egyptology and he assured me just yesterday that the only reason 2012 is anything is that it is when the calenders reset.

So in other words, seriously chill. Take a big breath and then go outside to a park or coffee shop and chat up some girls. If you want to learn how to date you must first learn how to fail misurably. Take it from the guy who spent 12+ years at it. I have hit on over 500 girls i am sure and most have given me not even a time or date ... the easiest way to start is by getting desensitized e.g. walking up and saying something, anything.

The way I did it was this : I went up to girls/women and said random things ... i mean R A N D O M ... for example "Hey, did you know i wore purple kangaroo underwear today?" ... after a few hundred of those "pick up lines" you will be saying "Hi my name is ___" in no time.

hope this helps,

-Zane

Irrelevant to the current thread.

Waitaminnit ... one vague, meandering prophesy deserves another, I s'pose ... carry on!
