i was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on things to do with gamer boyfriends. also, my boyfriend and i are going to a dance together. i love to be prepared so i was wondering what i should bring in my purse. i'm thinking the usual for me and my gba for him. the usual for me includes: note book, pencils, erasers, pencil shapener, ds. anything else?

Things to do, you mean what to do other than play video games? Maybe suggest something you like to do? Or try to combine interests... I don't really know, it totally depends on you, but for example if you liked shopping or going to the mall, pick one where there is a game store...

And ask him what he might want to do... never hurts to be up front about it. If he says "I don't know" then give him a few options, and say I thought of these ideas, so you pick one...

hih

Have you tried re-enacting scenes from your favourite videogames? For example, you could try eating some mushrooms and then jumping into the toilet to fight turtles.

LOL ElSanity you idiot! Out of interest, what is gba and ds? Your purse sounds very different to mine! If I was going to a dance I would probably skip all those things (well, if I absolutely had to I would have a small notepad and a mechanical pencil; that way you don't need a sharpener AND you have an inbuilt eraser!), then I would add in 'the basics': wallet with enough money for a taxi home 'incase', tampons/pads (better safe than sorry!), if you are wearing makeup I would also throw in the lipstick and eyeshadow incase you need a touch up, tissues (I would take 10+ but you might be far less snotty!)... oh, and if you are anything like me you will also throw in lipbalm, eyedrops, three different sets of tweezers, nail clippers, nail file, gumnut, gemstone, chewing gum, soothers... yeah, ok, well you asked! :P

Wait, if this is actually a pertinent question, he has to be really, really obsessed. Otheriwse I'd just be asking what to do on a date, period. If you know what to do on a date, you know what to do on a date!

Purse? Oh no, I always take my LARGE handbag with me... oh goodness! I completely forgot to mention the comb, brush, small zip bag of hair elastics and bobby pins, phone, makeup bag, assortment of receipts... oh and every now and then I throw in a book or an embroidery hoop, scissors and a bag of floss... hmm. Yes, we have a rather big bag!

seriously. Drag him to an arcade, then play dance dance revolution. THey've also got minigolf and go-carts. you can get close to one another with the mini golf and the go-karts can be enjoyable because you can drag him off the games. The DDR is just a fun physical, yet still gamer friendly activity you can get him to engage in that will get him off his butt...and YOur both physically involved with it.
