Occasionally, I have seen posts in L&D that deal with not going by traditional dating "rules", but rather more of a "hanging out" type scenario.

How does that work? What all is involved, what is the difference?

Not sure, but maybe the atmosphere. Like the feeling thats in the air.
With the traditional way of dating, i think about flowers and dinner and it's more formal and stuff.

with "hanging out" i think of simply just, yeah, hanging out, just being together, not doing anything particulair.

Or somethign along those lines

I don't know which posts but I will guess that it's something like "parties".
A typical "party" is when a friend invites friends and foafs to their house to drink and talk all night while listening to music, and is an opportunity to meet new people. It might seem adolescent but I'm aware of people even in their 40s who have parties like that.
