Women having trouble finding any decent guys-newspaper

This is an article about my city, saying "there are no decent guys". I think the women have too high of standards... My biggest problem with a lot of young women (like the ones in the article), is that women in their early 20's want a guy like they see on TV, and are very quick to write a guy off as a "loser" and say there's "no chemistry". They do this because they are young and often naive, and have lots to choose from and plenty of time. Eventually though, they exhaust their supply of guys, and are unwilling to take any initiative and start talking to a guy (at least to me or any guys I know). Then you go on plentyoffish and they won't talk to you unless you're mr. lawyer with a BMW etc. I know that guys go for looks, and I like pretty women. However, I don't go for the hottest girls and have been blown off by medium attractive women for pretty ridiculous stuff (I have AS and am not a model, but am still tall/built and somewhat handsome and I do have some social skills).

Yeah, that echoes of the 50% divorce rate in America.

That's because your male brain had evolved over the millions of years by attempting to spread genes to all possible females , while the female brain had evolved by selecting the best male available to procreate with. That's why females are far picker.

Of course they complain about that. They ignore the "decent" guys for so long that they either get picked up by some other woman, or the guys become/imitate jackasses themselves simply because they were tired of being ignored.

I agree with OP. Most of our sperm are fighters. Women have the urge to gather as many different seeds as they can. In the old days men would often support kids that weren't even theirs. Other women would often say before the "father", "Doesn't he look like his father" when it looks like all the other babies.

They mention women on plentyoffish in the article. Is that site ever stupid. I know guys on there who are far better looking than me, and have a lot more going for them (in the eyes of women, anyways) and they are still single. If even they don't have a GF after being on there for months, then I don't know wtf to say. By saying there are "no decent guys left" they probably mean there aren't enough 25 year old doctors who look like leonardo dicaprio beating down their doors. If men ever made a story like this in the paper they would be laughed at and chastised by women, yet it's ok for the women to do it?

Truth. The "decent guys" usually get ignored for years, and then some woman realizes what he is and marries him. Or they get jaded and try to become "jerks" so they can get a date. Sad.

....and why they think that they are 'descent girls'?

Just another poorly conceived story to fill the holiday time. Most important thing I got from the article was that joining a book club might help in meeting many women at once!

Or maybe it's the women who aren't decent...looking.

I've suggested that many times on this forum. Book clubs and book stores are hot pick up spots in todays environment. Even a geeky dork can walk around with a big thick book in his hands and get hit on almost constantly. Ladies want guys who have brains. Of course lots of money, a good job and other things do help but with brains you're up a creek without a paddle.

Women who aren't decent? Nah such thing doesn't exist.

Only guys can be non-decents, jerks ,pigs and losers
