I am a 28 year old single female, who has been on a date only twice. I had tried e-harmony, until that got too expensive to keep paying every month. My mom had tried to set up a date where the guy could meet me, but ultimately he wasn't interested in keeping on dating as we lived too far apart. The other guy I dated was too dominant.

Its not that I never had guys become interested in me, as apparently they seem to find me pretty and so will look at me, but they never seem to ask me out. I seem to either not give off the 'proper signals' that signify interest, or it is 'culture' today for the female to ask the guy out. I don't know.

I don't wear makeup, and I love Star Wars and video games, so I wish I could find a man who a had simular interests.

I just wish I could find a guy. :?

If you're interested, you can find books and stuff on body language if you want to get better at sending signals.

Star wars and video games. Shouldn't be hard to find people with those interests.
Good luck.

I don't think make-up is necessary but I find it helps women to "stand out" more. You can pleasantly surprise guys by making initiating moves yourself, but preferably do so if the guy is on his own and does not appear to be going somewhere. Men who like Star Wars or video games would not believe their luck. Oh, and prepare to get a bit of attention from men here who may like to meet you.

If you truly are a 28 yo single attractive female who likes Star Wars and video games, then you shouldn't have a problem finding a boyfriend. If you're having trouble getting a guy to ask you out, then try dropping some hints... Whether it be showing a little more skin or just generally showing more interest in being around whatever guy you find you like. I have a lot of difficulty with telling girls how I feel. But if I was around an attractive girl who seemed cool and I thought she was genuinely interested in dating me... I'd probably get over it.
On another note... you could break convention and try asking the guy out. Shocking concept I know : P

Metalwolf was a regular poster when she first signed up. I don't think this is a trap at all. I like the joke about Admiral Ackbar though.

Metalwolf, I like to meet females who don't wear makeup but, I'm not very interested in video games and I don't like StarWars at all. I like "boring" and "difficult" stuff like science and playing music. I bet you could find single guys at a StarWars convention who like to play video games. Hector is right about only initiating moves for guys who are alone and don't appear to be traveling somewhere. If the situation doesn't fit both of those criteria, leave it up to the guy. If you're at least nearly as svelt as Princess Leia was, you could wear the Hoth/Bespin costume to the StarWars convention. That used to do something for me, back when I was a fan of both StarWars and video games (and I wasn't even attracted to Carrie Fisher, per se).

I only looked in out of incredulousness. 8O

If you're bold enough to make a post like that here, then your bold enough to make the first move.

"Only looked at this thread out of Incredulousness"? That's not helping here at all, Postperson.
