I have a very sensation issue when it comes to touch. I do not know if other Aspies/Auties experience it & I wonder if it is why I am asexual (most likely). My friends believe I am straight b/c I like yaoi (guyxguy animes). But I have no desire to be with a guy except on rare occasion as friends (very casually) and I know I am not attracted to girls (found out when my ex-friend, a girl had a bad meltdown & grabbed me for a sec.-scared me & definitely did not turn me on) & only desire to be frinds w/ ones who don't giggle. Giggling girls (especially w/ high voices) are annoying :x...

But the sensation issue just confuses me. I experience physical pain, disgust, & or shock/panic attacks from any form of "casual/typical" contact. This includes hugging, hand shakes, general family or friend-friend type affection etc. It can be really embarrassing b/c I can get pretty out of it/sick. But sensations that and NT would find painful (slapping my back really hard, slamming myself into things, etc.) feel good. But things like being burned usually hurt once I realize (occasional delayed reactions) I am being burned than I go numb quite quickly (though I still run burns, etc. under cold water & treat them so no marks are left/healing skin still hurts me). I sometimes do things like hitting my own back to numb myself (not often, never in public, & never enough to mark my skin for long/a day+). Do other Aspies/Auties experience any of this :? ?
p.s. Sorry if this sounds creepy...

You've posted this in sex forum.. so are you saying this turns you on?

Pretty sure thats usually a sign of bi-polar. Sure as hell pretty far away from AS

Actually, it is in the Love and Dating forum - sexual discussion goes in the Adult forum.

And sensory confusion and issues are definitely common to those on the spectrum, though I would be wary of using them as diagnostic criteria. I'm not sure where one response felt that bipolar was the appropriate answer.
