I have been looking at this all wrong. God did not give me AS to prevent me from having a decent relationship. God gave me AS so I can filter out and not have to deal with the BS that most people have to put up with. So when I do find someone, it will be really good.

Sheesh, you're coming down hard on the guy for no reason. Lame.

KenM, I totally agree that having AS helps you connect with kinder, less shallow people. It's like a filter that seperates the best people from the worst.

The ones who are able to overlook your Aspergers syndrome and see you for your heart are the people worth keeping around. It's part of the "bright side" of having AS.

Perhaps not, but you shouldn't force your viewpoints on others like that either. That is to say, you shouldn't categorically state that they are wrong and you are right for no reason. Why go bursting someone's bubble when there's no cause to?

KenM, I think that you've come to a good conclusion :) If you keep that in mind when things get hard, I'm sure it will help.

You don't believe in God, and he does. That doesn't allow you to talk to him in a condescending tone. I'm sure you'd resent it very much if he treated you the same. We have much to learn on WP about respecting the beliefs of others.

The word is "Revelation" not "Relivation."

i wasnt talking to him in a condesending tone, i was just telling him not to worry about god doing anything to him.

I presumed that any person who would use the name Jesus Christ as a vulgarity couldn't possibly have a religion.

Please, you even called him "son". That is about as condescending as it gets.

Perhaps he sees living a life without God as "really quite hard and unecessary." It is not a black and white issue.

You only registered here last month. Some of us have been putting up with ridiculous absolute statements and misogyny from this guy for quite some time.

Yeah, but this is the most positive thing yet. I'm not about to rock the boat.

Really, Ken, I hope that's how you feel. It would help if you could understand no one's actually out to get you.
