Damn, damn, damn.....

Those are the only words to describe it.

I was just at my niece's high school graduation and to my surprise, I saw a girl that I used to have a crush there. Her sister was graduating too. I had made up my mind that I was going to talk to her after the ceremony and ask for her number. But, unfortunately I was not able to find her and the people I was with had to leave.

I'm not depressed about it in fact I'm proud that I had worked up the nerve to try but still, damn, damn, damn!! :wall:

Yeah, try facebook. The fact that you saw her at the graduation is a good ice breaker.

And quit hitting your head like that--you need the brain cells.

:D

I did try facebook and myspace (and google MissC  ) but neither was a go.

*sigh* Opportunities like this only come up every so often for me but it is always a similar story. :(

Eh oh well. Guess I need to meet new people or something because I can only work up the nerve to do that with girls I've known in the past. I have to have known them a little while. I can't walk up to a random female on the street and ask for her number. Some guys can but I can't. Besides, I don't think I would want to anyway.

Searing pain tends to teach you to not make the same mistake twice.
Next time, I suspect you'll feel the need to step over your doubts, before it is too late again.

Either you feel happy,
Or you feel hurt, but hurt is meant so you don't do that same thing again....
Except when you're Johnny Knoxville.

I guess it would probably be too weird to ask your niece for contact info, huh?

I appreciate the suggestions but unless I run into her somewhere, there is no way I can talk to her.

I didn't even expect to see her there so I didn't go in having any high hopes. All this is to me is one more addition to my long list of near misses. Only this time I would have asked for her number if I only could have talked to her. :x

Maybe you could ask your niece if she knows people who know her or something?

Do something, find her, track her down, your neice probably knows something about her sister, it's a start.
When I was in high school, 15, i worked at a mcdonalds and there was this girl there who was cute and fun and we kinda became friends. Maybe if I wasnt so daft we coulda become high school sweethearts. Only worked there for half a year or so though, so quickly lost contact with her. Fast forward 5/6 years and I was home one summer from college and walked into the place and she was now the general manager. And she started flirting with me, pretty heavily and obviously, very easy to pick up on. Well I had a girlfriend at the time so kinda shrugged it off, but was amused because she was still just as cute as ever and still seemed just as fun. So in the next year I broke up with my girlfriend and the following summer I worked up the nerve to walk into the place with the intention of seeing if she wanted to grab a cup of coffee sometime.
After a few weeks of driving by and losing my nerve I went in, I go up to the counter and she's luckily working, she turns to come and greet me and...probably 8 months pregnent, ready to burst.

So, lesson learned, dont hesitate! or someone else will tie her down with a baby =P

Exactly -- you need more opportunities. Better go make them in a way you are comfortable with.
