To add to the "USPS vs FedEx" ... Oddly enough I never thought about the drivers. Only the trucks, and the irony.

Once I laughed out loud during a movie during a part that was supposed to NOT be funny. It wasn't what happened, but it was the way it happened that was amusing. The person sitting next to me said, "you are the most insensitive person I've ever met." Oh well, that person was a twit!

I also used to draw macabre doodles. In fifth grade we had a substitute teacher who looked over my shoulder and gave me a little talk, and told me to "draw something happy". I was completely floored. What did she mean by that? I am drawing something happy. Skulls, reptiles, goblins, and demons are freaking awesome. She told me to draw a rabbit or a flower or something, and in a rare, socially adept moment I drew a flower, handed it to her, and told it to stick it in her mouth and shut up.

I had a fantastic talk with the school psychologist!

EDIT: btw, if "dark" aesthetics are so horrible, how come no one locked up HR Giger, Salvador Dali, and um- like every horror filmmaker and author on the planet? You would think they wouldn't be so popular!

I'm tired of people and their fluffy bunny foo foo visions.

I have a dark sense of humor, too. I've caught myself laughing at inappropriate moments, sometimes in the middle of movies, sometimes in the middle of a conversation if something is funny enough, or ironical enough.

People generally find me funny. I generally make light of whatever I can think of, but it's mostly jokes about racial stereotypes.

I'd say it was pretty normal, but most people shut their mouths before saying something really inapproprate. I once had to bite my tongue to stop the rape joke...

I guess Aspies have a totally different sense of humor compared to NTs, eh? I am NT, but my boyfriend is an Aspie. He laughs at stuff I think isn't funny at all and his jokes are lame. The stuff I find to be hilarious isn't funny to him at all.

"I also seem to laugh at whimsical examples made by uni professors - either before everyone else does or in spite of everyone else remaining serious; it's like I immediately know where they are going or an idea in a certain context just triggers a lot of things."

This amazingly resembles the way I think a lot of times. I was always very puzzled as to why people laughed at the part they laughed at, because I could sense a joke coming a mile away just by the context the person was speaking in.

I've always been adept at interpreting humor and very extreme forms of deadpan, and always assumed everyone would "get" it.

And yeah, I have a very bleak sense of humor.

I dont think my behaviour is appropriate in responce to quite unfunny experiences. I've been told that calling myself names like fatty and b***h is not funny but when i say these things i laugh hesterically about it. When im unhappy about things like going to a job network program i get myself in trouble by jokingly saying im going to blow centerlink up. Then i say its just a joke why arnt you laughing?

One thing that makes me hard to approach for some people is, that my humour tends to be too much for them. I can't help it, but I really think that taboos and universally serious things like depression, death and a large variety of absurd things just are stuff I can talk about with humorous tune. Only some people have openly told me, that I go too far, and many are clearly disturbed by my joking.
Do you others tend to make fun of thing you shouldn't?

I do that all the time!! !!
My ex-roomate's wife hated me for that reason!! !
but then again I was raised by a man who was both in the military and drove a semi-truck, so I was around offensive humour all the time! which explains why I love Chappelle's Show

*laughter*
I personally think everyone in the world is too paranoid for thier own good,

My parents bought us these traditional Jordinian hat.. things... that were from Israel, my brothers and I walked around town with these things on! LOL
we had one lady tell us that we made her feel uncomfortable, and I pointed out that there really aren't that many terrorists and the fact that the traditional hat things we were wearing were in no way affiliated terrorists, She proceeded to tell me that it looks too much like it and she was offended anyway, and then I pointed out that the similarities between the things we were wearing and a turban were like comparing a christian cross and the nazi swastega,
Needless to say she got pissed and stormed off, she ended up having security escort us out of the mall on suspicion of questionable behavior.
I really hate how intolerant people can be.

Just the muslims, really,
as a matter of fact: there are as many radical, "terrorist" muslims as there are polygimist Mormons.

Yeah, in truth I absolutely HATE gender-based discrimination, or any discrimination for that matter. so I understand your standing on that situation.
