This is what I've done a couple times and almost got me fired last week.

People often tell me that I am too serious and uptight...they often tell me to "chill-out".

For example...just because I didn't want to endulge myself in a pointless drinking game, I am called "uptight" :?

I have too many to count, but if I had to:
1) anti-social to the point where my wife's friends think I don't like them
2) talking down to people and just having to throw my two cents into a conversation to show I'm paying attention
3) being too much of a pessimist
4) my manager at work calls me a "depressed up-talker" for my odd manner of speech. at the end, no matter how I try to inflect the pronunciation of the last word, it always ends up sounding like I'm asking a question.

a brief aside: have any of you guys noticed a lack of thinking about the future? case in point, I'm HORRIBLE with money, I can never seem to make it last long enough and I tend to forget when bills are due and whatnot. Is that something thats common or do I just suck?

I get selfish an awful lot, closely followed by insensitive.

I tend to tell people exactly what I think, and I'm usually thinking bad things

I can be vicious :P Not my fault; they're the flaming dipwads.

i mostly get criticized for not being social enough, i do enjoy my down time a lot, but most times it often takes over my social life.
like when my buddies wanna hang out with me, i often ignore, or purposefully forget to go, because "Me" time is better...n'stuff

some people think that I pretend stupidity
or naiveness because they know that I'm intelligent and they can't see why I act slow.

Giving my opinion in every moment I can. :) People that don't know me think I'm very intolerant. Also being rigid doesn't make you very popular at school.

My specialty is terrifying passengers, since I can't have someone in the car and drive well simultaneously. That would require multitasking, and I don't do that.

I answered "offensive" because people are always getting on me for being too loud. I have to talk in what sounds and feels like a whisper to me to not offend - it feels really unnatural. Also, I have a very loud obnoxious laugh. I hate it because just when I'm feeling good, I'm made to feel bad for being socially unacceptable. So sometimes I hold it in, I suppress my mirth and give a "fake laugh" and basically have no fun at all so that people aren't repelled. I'd give a lot to have a pretty laugh that makes other people laugh with me instead of cringe away.

Being offensive, being pretentious or arrogant. You know, all the usual Aspie reasons. Interestingly I'm often considered arrogant in person but on the internet it's usually offensive, and what's even more interesting is that while there's a lot of people who say those negative things about me there's also a lot of people who say the complete opposite about me. Never in between. I know why that is of course I just find it interesting.
