About me: I'm a student learning all about our lovelly neurons. I hope to become a clinical scientist upon graduation. I love theatre, poetry and comedy and consider myself a writer. I'm in love with my coffee shop and enjoy visiting the beach, going to the gym, cinema and sometimes a nice meal out (but mostly like to be quite active).

I'm confident, very laid back, very quirky and pritty easy to get along with. I'm diagnosed Dypraxia/dyslexia/ASD tendencies.

It would be nice to make some friends from the UK as that's where I'm based, but I'll happly speak to anyone

About me: I was diagnosed with AS last year. I've got a lot better at interaction over the past few years, but I need to keep on improving. I'm doing a degree in philosophy, which I love. York is a really nice uni, although socializing is still the cause of a lot of worry for me. I try to be as friendly as I can, I just find large groups quite limiting, and I'm always worried about whether my 'performance' in social situations is good enough and whether I'm providing enough incentive for people to be friends with me. I've made quite a few friends so I guess I'm not doing too badly.

My main interests at the moment are philosophy and politics (I'm centre-left, labour party) - when I'm older I want to be a politician, which is ridiculously ambitious considering the way I am now, but I'm working on it. I also enjoy walking, mountain climbing, origami and doing anime doodles

I will be turning 25 years old this year. I was diagnosed in the Army 5 years ago with Asperger's. I got some employment, but now I am unemployed. I just wish I was diagnosed sooner, because it took me 2 years before I got any help. Now I am attending college thanks to financial aid and some counseling.

At times, I still find myself envious and needy. Most of my acquaintances and even my friends are ahead of me in the things I have not been able to achieve - most have jobs, graduated, have study and activity buddies, spouses, etc. I somehow feel left out. Although I am not a savant or a genius, I am gifted, but somehow I am wondering why I remain lonely, bored and depressed. At home, I play shooter games like Halo 3 and Gears of War. People at home do not share my activities.

At school, there are some who share my interests, and my situation, but I still haven't figured out how to get together with them in a prolonged and regular basis. I can't get to their places due to me not driving, and they couldn't go to my place due to schedule constraints.

Although I'm 'succeeding' academically, I still don't know what is truly right for me. All I know is that I like the Biological sciences a lot, and have performed well in them. I am eyeing for Regenerative Medicine, but I'm still not sure how I'm getting there.

I am still currently asking for additional counseling, guidance and financial assistance so as to prepare me.

Somehow, contentment still eludes me, I mean I want more than just the contant companionship of my immediate family.

I know that most of the accomplishments are relatively hollow when it comes to happiness, but I couldn't tolerate being alone. In a way, I am looking for a deep intimate friendship, and perhaps a girlfriend someday, but neither I've been able to attain.

I'm female and from Canada. I studied mathematics, and I'm doing computer sciences as well. I like ice skating, and I'm trying to learn some German as well, so I won't mind more friends from Germany too (or German speaking countries); I could use the practice anyways. I also play the piano, although I think I sound too mechanical, and I do some digital painting. I'm looking for friends here because I think they would be more understanding of my social ineptness.

I and a group of friends have an in-joke about Canada being the promised land with rivers of milk and honey, et.c.

I'm a fairly fluent receiver of German, but I stumble on writing and speaking it. I'm not without social ineptitude of my own, so I think I can understand it well enough.

I am pretty much the music, movie, literature (especially poetry), and movie type of guy.
I love computer games
I am no longer an IT Specialist (my certs are up this year anyway)

um...I am pretty much an open book on most things...just...*glances around nervously* "no touchie" *bats at someone's hand*
until I realy feel I can trust you (usually doesn't take long).

I wear over the knee socks and thigh high socks too - and I love guys in skirts! Did you ever see the "Men in Skirts" exhibit they did at the Met a few years ago? They made a book from it that was really beautiful.


Let me see - I'm 35 (in just a few days! woohoo! I love my birthday! Even though the party's usually just in my head..lol) Anyway, I like dressing in whatever way strikes my fancy and colors are super important. I can't wear red if I'm really feeling green, for example. And texture's extremely important.

I like designer stuff - especially shoes.

I love doing my hair and make-up, etc. I like handbags and rain coats - the slick kind - I could dress like Paddington Bear and be very pleased with myself. I also like swimming in salt water and I like puddles after it rains. I like stepping in them gently or sometimes, stomping .

I'm 30 years old, from New York City. I have AS and NT tendencies, and have yet to be properly diagnosed.

I'm just starting to pay mind to my mental health and am still adjusting and finding out who I am.

My biggest interest is digital artwork. I've always loved gaming and animation, but I'm much more into the development side than a fanboy. I want to go back to school within the next year or two to get my BA in 3D Animation. I've been told that my humor is a weird mix of morbid and cartoonish.

Hello, I'm Taupey. I'm a 47 years old woman. I have been married twice - first marriage divorced, second marriage widowed. I have two adult children - I believe my daughter is a NT, my son an AS. I believe I have AS as well. I saw my psychiatrist today and I'm going to see my psychologist April 1st to discuss/testing for AS. I currently live in the Mid-Atlantic East Coast. I love music, reading, writing, art/painting, gardening, etc... I love nature, hiking, camping. I don't watch TV but I do listen to the local PBS radio station. I'm into Neo Pagan Druidry and the Tarot. I'm here to learn about Aspergers/Autism, hopefully help others by sharing my experiences and to make friends. I almost forgot I love cats and live with three of them. Thank You for taking the time to read this.
