Sometimes at work I feel that no matter what I do or say its always going to be considered stupid which wouldn't bother me if what I was doing was really stupid (and sometimes it is (but i feel when it intentionally is people don't get it), it bothers me that when other people act or speak in the same manner it is considered normal and "hip" and funny

I'm thinking its kind of just an immature jealousy factor as if the "normies" think im so socially and intellectually inferior that all my ideas and jokes don't even deserve a chance and are immediatly shot down.

I feel like lately I have been more or less challenging co workers in social and cognitive wit lately and winning but they see as me being an as*hole(agian perhaps jealousy) even though I am kind of messing around and kind of proving a point at the same time.

Is there a better wat of handling this or do I just have no chance.

use this only as a defence, if they terrorise
you.

Otherwise I would just avoid them and do
my work and pass the day right by, I don't
go to work to socialise.

I have always ended up getting on better
with "strict" bosses for some reason,
they ended up not jumping down my throte
but everyone else's and later telling me
"are you the only worker around here who
knows how to get the job done?"

I don't know if this helps or not, but I think it's probably because they don't expect you to be hip or funny and once most NTs get an idea in their heads about how you're going to be, they don't seem to be open to seeing things objectively. On the other hand, it could just be jealousy too... but I'll bet it's a combination of both.

I guess I'm not really challenging them but instead pointing out their flaws like they try to do to me but I suppose to wrongs don't make a right. I have been nice to everyone up untill now but I figured I would try something new. I will try to stay focused on work instead of socializing which will be easier since I live in a college town and school is starting so it will be a lot more busy. Thanks for the input.

I have a very similar problem: when I'm at lunch in a social setting, whenever I tell a joke, everyone says, "You're too serious," or "Why aren't you funny?". I don't get why they say I'm not funny, when what they're saying is just a bunch of cruelty served with ice, and I don't get why people want to be like everyone else. It's boring to be "normal".
