I rarely go out at all nowadays, about 5 years ago i used to go out mostly for a few pints with some friends when i lived in Gloucestershire. After my mum passed away in 2008, i became something of a recluse and didn't want to go out at all.

Could you please define "out"?

If you mean out of the house several times a week as I go to school, walk my dog, etc.

If you mean go out for reasons which aren't complusory then I go out several times a week as I walk my dog whenever the day is sunny/ night has no clouds.

If you mean go out to talk and be with friends. Never.

I have one good friend and bout twice a month he comes up with something I would be interested in and calls me up. Usually a games night, trip to a movie we'd both enjoy, or home maintenance (I have painting and gardening skills and knowledge, etc) and such things.

Other than that I only go out for chores and walks by myself.

I do sometimes perch a chinchilla (pet rodent) on my shoulder and make an event out of a walk - see how many people actually notice the one pound grey and furry-tailed animal (surprisingly few!) perched on my shoulder. I suppose this is my way of inviting strange people to approach me for conversation I can handle easily... practice at being social?

The only time I go " out " is when I'm bored, but as for going out and socializing.... Never!

what do you mean by "go out"?
if it's socializing, then practically never since HS, and it literally was going over to someone, usually school related.
if family events, then a few times a year.
otherwise I "go out" everyday, for exercise or for the walk and fresh air.

I used to leave the house to go to the gym, and the dentist, the shops, and my parents. I used to go for a coffee with an NT friend too about once a week. Then within a week I got sexually assaulted.... AND my mom died.
No sob stories. Now I just dont leave the house. I'm glad for the computer. Without it .... I cant comprehend where I would be :/

I try to go out once a week, it really helps me to appear as more normal even if wherever i go i end up just sitting around and doing nothing more then drinking. Thankfully, most of the things my few friends go to I get invited to as well. I don't want to have a face book though because then i would know all the things my acquaintances are doing while i sit at home, among other reasons...

I hate it. I want that life, I want excitement... can't have it though, at least not at a whim's notice. I envy normal people for their spontaneity. They can just ask someone, without fearing the response, without fearing the look the person will have whether they accept or not. Anywho, I never go out. It's been about 3 years since I did anything meaningful or fun outside this house with friends. I don't even have friends anymore.

Weird, I hate it too, but for the very opposite reason - because I think going out to clubs and getting drunk etc. at night, or indeed at any other time, is stupid, pointless, and not in the least bit enjoyable.

You're only 16 though. You may be like me and when you turn 21, everything is instantly okay. I despised all that behavior until I was about 20, going on 21. Then I figured out it could be fun.

Meh, never say never I guess, but I don't think it's very likely. Most people I know my age already do that crap.

I feel like a 40 year old man in a 21 year old's body. Some people with AS are much more mature than others... that's why it is so difficult to fit in sometimes. We'll be older than our age group, and will only fit in with those that are older than us. Then, we look even worse because all the people in our age group want nothing to do with us because we act like another age group. It's complicated, like any neurological disorder. You don't have to like going out getting wasted, but I will tell you this (with a very big smile)... being drunk makes EVERYTHING feel so wonderful. Everything is funny, nobody thinks you're weird, they just think you're drunk! No judging, no questioning, no sense of absence! They laugh, they don't care if you're awkward... you can talk to a girl you've never met and ask her about where she's going to school, and how much it costs, with her boyfriend sitting next to her laughing! The freedom!

Well, I'm rambling... the point is, you never know until you try, but I am not advocating underage drinking. When you turn 21, give it a try at a random party somewhere. People won't care if they know you or not, they'll just say what's up and keep walking.
