and on another note, the male/female ratio for the PNW so far doesn't seem too bad so far.

the info i have now shows a ratio of only about 6:4 :o

about 60% male to 40% female

How about:

What's your passion?
or
What are your goals?

I'm a wee bit weird perhaps, I enjoy talking with
animals...Cats and Dogs in particular...
Let's see you follow that one,
my fellow N.W. Aspies  !

hmmm, i like reading (murder mysteries/fantasy/contemporary fiction/sci-fi/the occasional thriller/ historical fiction/etc.) i have hundreds of books :) .
and writing (poetry mostly. There's a link to my blog in my signature)
sciences (stuff like biotechnology, quantum physics, medical, psychology/neuroscience/how the brain works, and chemistry interest me)
i also enjoy music (alternative/indie/some metal (not the incoherent yelling/screaming kind though  )/rock/etc.)
i like driving, it's soothing, helps take my mind off things. Long walks at night are kinda nice like that too.
economics, politics international/world happenings interest me to some degree.
philosophy, 'cause i'm often reflective like that anyways; probably the result of too much inward convoluted thinking. People have told me in this regard i seem pretty mature for my age; more than some people 20 years older than me i guess.
people also interest me.

i guess you could call those passions

as for goals, mine are quite simple.
i'm not too ambitious. If i can do great things someday, that would be cool.
but above all else it's the simpler things in life i'd want most: get married someday, settle down, start a family, be financially stable, find some measure of happiness, who could ask for more?

After a month and a half of a creative dry spell, I started writing again since Monday. Last night, though, I was lazy and didn't get behind the keyboard to write. I ended up in a depressed funk, hating myself.

Thanx for sharing guys...Wow, alot of interesting subjects....
I, too, have a fascination for psychology and neuroscience, Sean.
I am a therapist and intuitive healer by trait,
but most of my friends just think of me as the "Crazy Cat Lady"

And I know what it's like to feel the "dry spell"
when it comes to life in general, Bill.

Know it will pass...Emotions, ambitions...Life,
is always shifting, moving, evolving (Aspies can get
freaked out by that sometimes...I know I do!) but
it will come together. Writing is good...When I get a
block I can often open it with free flow writing. Just
like when I get stuck in my emotions and/or body,
I'll do some free flow dance/movement.

I hope you can take some time to nurture yourself
and start feeling better...Your worth it.
(thanx for sharing and being real)

Anjie

I'm in south Seattle.

I'm always down to hang out with other aspies, but I work graveyard shift and I generally don't wake up until 4pm on somedays.

So... um... just to get the conversation rolling again... summer's ending. Who's ready for the next cycle of eight straight months of rain and snow? :P

That's a tough one...Especially since we only got
about 2 weeks of summer :( .A nd every year I firmly
proclaim: "Next winter I'm flying South...!"(I wish!)

Making a list of positive indoor activities available :)
Catch up on the writing and artwork and reading I've
been putting off...Oh, and indoor home projects....Ya,
that too!

I'm expecting it to snow. Last year, we didn't get any snow that stuck down in the valley.

Yeah, last year was bizarre. Vancouver only got one day of snow all winter, in mid-December, and it melted pretty quickly. Figures we'd have a freakishly warm winter for the Winter Olympics. :P
