Some of my friends wear overalls and I think they would be fun to wear.

I would like to buy a pair of overalls. I'm scared of asking my parents to buy me overalls because I'm afraid of what they might say about it.

Does anyone have any suggestions about how I should go about asking my parents about this?

go extreme. announce that you are going to dye your hair blue. also spikes around your head and various piercings. also an offensive belt buckle.

then back down and settle for getting a pair of overalls. don't forget to sulk. :)

You'll probably be laughed at, but you don't mind, right?

I personally prefer to dress "normally" because that way I blend into the crowd and don't get singled out and thus don't get picked on. If I wore overalls, I'd take more abuse than I'd be able to handle. But if you want to wear overalls and can deal with whatever people's reactions are, more power to you.

If you want a pair of overalls, it cannot hurt to ask. If money is a concern, offer to do jobs or chores around the house in exchange for your parents buying you a pair of overalls.

Personally, I would not want to wear overalls because I find them uncomfortable.

I usually wear normal-looking clothes. I always were a coat, even in summer. On some days, I don't bother changing out of my sweatpants.

I may sound exciting in my posts, but in real life, I'm just another plain, boring white dude.

Here's my advice - do what you want, wear what you want. I just slap on some clothes, people don't really comment.

Well, okay, a couple of people comment that I don't wear my pants low. I wear them like an adult - on my waist. They wear them like morons - below their ass crack.

So really, no one's opinion matters but yours. Besides, if they're worn the right way, overalls can be freaking schweet.

Don't let anybody dictate to you how you should dress - if you like it, go for it.

I don't follow fashion, after all, because it seems like a massive waste of time. Why buy stuff that'll be outdated in two months when I can throw on a Thundercats t-shirt and be much happier?

Claradoon's got the right idea, heheheh.

And screw what people think. Wear whatever you want and if people don't like it, tell them to talk to me. Or go to hell, either way.

I've gone out in some rather daft clothes before today. Let's just say that while no-one came up to me and challenged me on it, I got some rather uncomfortable looks and stares. I binned them when I realised what a knobhead I looked.

At the end of the day, it's your own choice and only you can make it. :)

Fitted shirts and flares/Bell Bottoms are the ongoing thing in Canada, for Teenaged Girls and Young Women. While I don't bother with the fitted shirts, I do buy myself one or two pair of Flares or Bell Bottoms a year, just to look decent.
