Alcohol and me don't mix, it doesn't bring anything positive. Pot makes me a bit friendlier somehow though.

I use alcohol to fight anxiety and sometimes it helps me to communicate what I really think instead of holding it all in. probably not the best remedy but it does help.

I quit drinking a few months ago. To clarify, I wasn't an alcoholic, but one doesn't need to have a problem to see the wisdom in cessation. Alcohol is a rubber crutch. Its only meant for having fun, its absolutely not a solution

I drink when everyone else is doing it, mostly to be at the same wavelength with the rest of the society :)

I never used alcohol to socialize. i used it purely to get wasted and keep my hardcore metal persona

Sadly I did needed alcohol when at parties or else I would just be a antisocial b***h who wouldn't have any fun. The sucky part was that I can't drink as much as others and when people see me throw up and all of that I get subjected to ridicule for weeks following it. I could never drink the right amount at gatherings to be socially comfortable without making a fool of myself. Luckily I'm not an alcoholic, and only drink when I do want to have fun or when it's the main drink available at social gatherings.
