Thanks for the well wishes syzygyish. :D Our little girl was born on March 22. Her name is Sophia. Things are... well very busy. We are all doing well though, even though sleep is not something I'm getting much of.

Oh my god !
:D :D :D

I was really scared to call you, in case, well, you know...
but,

It's A Beautifull Baby Girl!

WOOO HOOO!! !! !! !

....Sophia...What a beautiful name!

Congratulations Rachel and Paul,
You know, you are all in my heart?

That's a nice name, my 1 st GF name was Sophie. she was French (Swiss) and it sounds even nicer, I suppose almost anything in that language sounds nicer to the ear.

It's nice to know you gave them a sensible name have you seen some of the faddish names modern parents give to their children?

My middle name was going to be my 1 st name which would've made the situation a whole lot worse.

Thanks syzygyish and aussiebloke. *grins* Glad you like the name. Both Sophie and Sophia mean wisdom.
I recently checked the meaning of my son's name, Connor and it means lover of hounds. Odd meaning for a name, but he does really like our dog, so perhaps it is appropriate. :)

I have heard of some weird names that parents call their children. I think it's because most people around our age group have grown up with very normal and boring names, so they wanted to give their children something more unique and special.

Just letting you all know that I just bumped into this thread's OP on Ok Cupid. At least I think it's him. Recognised the picture.

Has anyone heard from him at all?

Hi blue_bean, thanks for letting us know about this! :D
... as the only person who has met Tek-Tek,
I'm pretty glad that he is 'out there'
It's heartening! :D

Tek-Tek was really discombobulated about his dx,
I know I was...
and I'm not surprised he has taken some time off
It's really difficult thinking about 'Autistic Forever'
I take time off almost constantly and a lot!

...but, we have to remember,
it's not about us welcoming him back

It's about him stepping out!

Adam, you GO girl!
Best wishes and Hugs!

I have no idea myself even though she's online on my MSN a fair bit. We just don't seem to talk to one another anymore

Is she back living at home in Taiwan?

Hi all,

I'm located in the lovely city of Toowoomba. I'm 19, and would really like to chat with people with Asperger's as well (and meet, maybe, who knows). If anyone would like to get in touch, please let me know. This site seems like a wonderful resource which I've only just rediscovered. I used to use this site about 2-3 years ago, but can't remember my login information for the life of me (I only had about 30 posts anyway) - a fresh start is always good as they say.

Well, it's certainly been a while!
How about sometime in July?
Interested parties can submit their suggestions regarding dates and locations.
:D

Oh, does Brisbane have a Chinatown?
I think it does, but I've never been.
How about that?

Yes, in Fortitude Valley, Brusnwick St. They have asian markets there on a Saturday but it's awfully hectic.

But I do know of a place called Cyber City which is a bit hidden away off the busy mall (it's basically a chinese restaurant/bar/pinball arcade, it's either open 24/7 or open till really really late)
