I feel a strong sense of contempt towards humanity, and if it were up to me, everyone would be desexed.

I find nearly everyone dishonest, corrupt, prone to mobbing and far more eager to serve in a malevolent hierarchy than pursue justice against it. I am not misanthropic, though I do distinguish good from evil and believe the majority of humans belong to the latter category.

I like to be alone, but I'm not misanthropic. I love people, and I hate to see them suffer, but I'm just uncomfortable with them. I don't feel comfortable talking.

I feel comfortable when I read misanthropic comments that point out human nature well. It's a kind of catharsis for me.
Sadly,it's true that most people are not good and they just pretend to be nice.I learned it at home and schools etc..It's difficult to find real trust worthy people.
I sometimes feel being autistic(being alone in our own world) is much better than being with others. But probably some(most?) people think it's not 'healthy'or 'normal'.

I'm kind of neutral when it comes to how I should feel about humanity. On one hand, I feel that with people like Ghandi and MLK. that us humans are capable of being a good and succesful species. However, hearing about things like war and the creation of the atomic bomb makes me lose faith in humanity.

I don't know them well enough to hate them all. They don't know me well enough to develop an opinion on me.

Misanthropy can only lead to misery IMO

At a basic level we're all the same.

"if you're nice to people most people will be nice to you." Eh :?

Meh.

Not necessarily. Most people (appear to be) bipolar. The way they treat you depends on what they want or how they feel...that day. I just find it easier to deal with myself. I already know what I want.

I wonder sometimes if Shirley McClaine is right and I was a jungle cat in my previous life. I feel more feline than misanthropic. I like to think I'd still help someone if they were on fire, but more than likely I'd be distracted by the embers of the flame. Then something else would grab my at..

COOKIES!!

I definitely hate certain social psychopaths, yet even in them I can find/understand a degree of humanity which I may come to like or even learn to love. The power games and hierarchical structures of neurotypicals tend to disgust me, especially when I become a peon in their party of chess (I would rather play "Go"). But I do admire and envy their ability to express their emotions so immediately, even if for a manipulative purpose. I have trained judo and dabbled in different forms of martial arts for a long time now and am a theatre and dancing stage performer (amateur, got to have a real work to survive) and find that through training and focus in these interest areas (the so called "passions") I can feel much better connected with my body and have a much easier time reading people and reacting more appropriately. The interaction still tends to be exhausting and emotionally painful, driving me to seek solitude and to generally hate certain qualities in people. But in the end understanding the fallacy of the human condition helps me find forgiveness for them and myself. Unfortunately it's almost impossible to forget certain pains and wounds and that tends to make me want to "puke" when I step into their sandbox. It's hard to a beast or a god, but it's even harder to thread the line in between.

Most of the people I have encountered have been VERY harmful, and 20 years ago, 25 years ago, I was too dumb, too infantile to even see it.

Yes, I hate people. I can't stand people. I can't stand the fact that everyone who suffers from anxiety, ADD, ADHD, albinism, crippled somehow,
anyone biracial, ANYONE WHO IS DIFFERENT, claims to have been the victim of people out there, yet a couple of morons drinking beer at Daytona
Beach, going to college just to get bad grades, are having a blast, and in the end, life is easy for them, as if they deserved it.

The average human criticizes engineers and scientists, calls them nerds, crazy,
even autistic, but goes around using every cell phone, every device created by the very people they regard as geeky.
The average human being is probably overweight and doesn't care about anyone but himself, and then whines about criminals, when criminals
are nothing more than an improved version of what they are, selfish, opportunistic, bullies, and sometimes even violent.

When you think humans are nice, think that movies like Dark Knight Rises, No Country for Old Men show criminals that are glamourized versions
of the monsters that are out there. The human race has destroyed the habitat of thousands, if not millions, of species, and continues
to destroy resources. The human race has created weapons that can destroy every form of life in this planet, and may use them someday.

well said

I think it wastes energy to hate because mathematically it is impossible to only derive good things from people one likes. People that inspire dislike have something good to offer at times. An opponent will have something to defend, and will lose credibility in the eyes of peers for a base display of negativity toward another with no basis in reality that is motivated to put another person in a "one down" position.

Bad humans are no reason to be misanthropic, because if one lets on one hates a supposed bad person it can be pointless to hate someone that will oppose worse when they know they are hated.

My misanthropy stems from this very simple thing: I have seen the good humanity is capable off, the beauty we have created and the fact that others don't seem to be able to see that leads me to hate my own species.
We're capable of incredible technology, beautiful works of art, cooperation on an unprecedented scale, and yet we constantly tear at each other's throats, blow each other up for stupid reasons, destroy an ungodly amount of things and generally are capable of horrible horrible things.

I hate humanity because, for all of our good and our merits, we are monsters.
