I have a lot of anxiety when my phone is ringing or if I have to pick up the phone to make a call, but I'm ok once I'm actually on the phone. Good phone presence, voice, etc. But the 'pick up the phone and start dialing a number' anxiety can be severe.

I just hate phones. If I have to use phones, I do prefer calls though.

I don't like the phone either, although I am perfectly fine with chatting and messaging online. I'm still trying to figure out why...maybe it's just I got used to it.

I hate having to make phone calls, unless it's to a friend or family. Once the phone call gets going though, I'm a lot more comfortable with it. I can take phone calls no problem, though. Unless I have to answer the phone for someone else. Then it's annoying.

-raises hand- I do!

I'm okay with talking on the phone, but I would rather talk in person or by e-mail.

I'm horrible on the phone... I once had to talk with an insurance guy on the phone because I had been on a small car accident. My brain went blank, and I could say was uh, uh... I ended up having to give the phone to my mom.

I'm okay with family on the phone.

I am wondering why I didn't come to this site sooner, I knew it existed, and I knew there were other people like me and these other people must also have these issues but, there is something comforting in hearing other people express similar views and issues. And I just posted about phones in another post too.

I hate, hate, hate the phone...

My volcabulary suddenly becomes limited to "Yeah", "No," and "Oh really?". God, gimme text anyday.

I feel the same way. I have been getting good info on here as well. I only get 1/2 sessions to express myself to a counselor. And she just kind of listens and agrees on things anyways...
