Hello everyone. I'm Emilie. I'm 27, divorced with no children. I live in the city where I graduated college and where I met my husband and we lived. It's a far way from home and I'm lonely but I don't want to move back to my hometown because there's really nothing there except people I know. I have a good job here and those are really hard to come by these days. I try to be grateful for what I've got and hey I have the internet to fill in the gaps.

Thought I'd pop something on there. and I've gloriously nicked the previous poster's information schema, as it's very concise and to-the-point:

Name- Seb
Age- 22
Location- Oxford (holidays) - Bristol (termtime), UK
Hobbies/Interests- Variable. Currently, being on the road, table tennis, ice skating, playing guitar and bass, physics, and maths
Sports Teams- None
Music- Metal of any genre except black metal (with some very rare exceptions. Grunting and chugging guitars do not usually make music), along with some additions from various other genres. Music for its originality, basically.
Books- Sci-fi mostly. Peter Hamilton's books, Terry Pratchett's, Sergei Lukyanenko and that kind of authors, basically.
Tv- Don't watch it, don't like it
Clothing- Jeans + T-shirt or shirt depending on the day. Mostly dark colours, but never really black. Motorcycle boots, because they're just that comfortable :)
Religion - Agnostic
Jobs- Student at the university of Bristol (physics). With a bit of freelance web design/programming on the side whenever the opportunity arises.

Books- Sci-fi, Fantasy
Tv- Have one but don't really watch anything, other than the news occasionally (I watch some films and comedy on the internet)
Clothing- Jeans and a shirt
Religion - Agnostic
Jobs- Software Developer

I wish I could find a part-time friend who understood the need to have space and be on my own, and who would tell me when I did something wrong, rather than just get mad at me and still not let me know why.

Or even a parter but I also need time alone and a stable schedule.

Hi,
I am 29 years old, female, from Australia. I have been diagnosed with Aspergers and have been feeling very alone and overwhelmed. I thought that I would write this to see if there is anyone out there that would like to talk with me. Hopefully to feel more like we are a part of something. Especially any females.

I am a nice person, quiet. :) I live with my partner and our cat. I have travelled in Asia and (although traveling is VERY stressful) I find learning about other countries fascinating. I have many slightly eccentric interests.

I find writing this social-type-thing a little stressful, but will do my best.

Hello,

I am a 29 year old male from the United States, and I was diagnosed with Asperger's earlier this year. I also have been diagnosed with ADHD as well (pretty much ADD), and my life has been one of such loneliness and mis-spoken words. I am currently studying Mech. Engineering Technology and I enjoy it greatly. My dream was always to become an engineer...and while my study does not technically get me directly to my dream, I can get pretty damn close. And that is good enough with me!

I have found making friends or pen-pals even very difficult. It is always a matter of trust and making sure that I say the correct words. I have found that my words are like knives...and that is terrible to go through.

I am always open to learning new things and getting to know those that I have never had an experience with. You can feel free to PM me or IM me on Skype. Again, I am very shy so I may not respond to your IMs or PMs but I am always greatly appreciative for your words.

*I really do sound desperate. I'm not actually...

Woohoo I'm 19 now so I can post here! :P

I'm a 19 yr old female from UK looking for people to chat to. I need to relieve the boredom. I'm into movies, reading that sort of thing although I'll happily talk about other people's interests as well. :D

Self-Diagnosed.
26 male
Handsome
decent shape
Love computers, games, mythology/paranormal stuff.
I live with my parents.
I have only recently started to get along with my sister, I have tried moving out of my comfort zone but I am bad with people when we interact too much. I get short, I tend to not understand things or miss things. People need to be patient with me... I have a problem where when we get on a topic of interest to me I cant just drop it and I don't notice that I am doing it. Unless someone actually just tells me to drop it. I haven't had many friends in my life, I have one though that I have known for a long time.

I am learning new ways to interact with people and make friends everyday, but internet friends are far easier to make or keep.

I guess I am kinda just going threw what everyone is here, probably a bit newer to it then most of you since I have only just recently realized that my behavior isn't me being difficult on purpose its just who I am, and have been for 26yrs.

:D

I so get this. I wish people would just tell me when I have done something wrong. I try to stick with people who will stick with me though.

I'm in my early-mid twenties, in the USA. I like psychology, plants, and marine wildlife (jellyfish and octopi)

im a 43 year old male aspie with social anxiety disorder who lives in east gippsland victoria (Australia). I have read a lot of Aspie forums and blogs but this is my first post. I have 2 young sons who live with there mother and i see on the weekends. I have worked all my life in dead end jobs, usually cleaning and such because these allow me to work by myself and not have to interact with people. As with a lot of aspies im good with computers and machines in general, i even tried getting a degree in information technology but had to drop out after the first year despite getting excellent results because the social stress was just too much for me.
Im not sure why im posting now, i recently lost my latest job and i guess im desperate enough to reach out, which i have never been able to do before.
I guess i just want to know if there are people out there like me. I am always in a state of confusion, i am lonely and depressed when by myself, but when around people my social anxiety and aspergers mean i seem agitated and sometimes outright hostile towards the people im trying to make friends with and then all i want is to be by myself again so i can calm down, then i get lonely and the cycle repeats...

Is there anyone out there that understands and has similar experiences? If so i would like to hear from you and what you do to cope.

Andre, 19 year old guy in CA with asperger's, have extreme social anxiety but most my friends don't know I have asperger's. I love playing guitar and soccer and football. Never had any autistic friends in my life since autistic people seem so rare so I'd love to make some on here. :)
