For some reason, I quickly push back friends who do get too close. After a few days, I regret it.

mhmm the other week this girl i work with and i were saying bye and when she realised i wouldnt be seeing her for a few weeks (because of holidays and i wouldnt be in the next day) she sort of stepped towards me slightly and with hindsight i think she was going to hug me. i can't explain exactly how but i know that my body language somehow said 'woah back off' and she quickly did. i may have even turned away from her lol (the train i was getting was approaching). And when i'm in a group of people all hugging goodbye people usually sense my body language or something too and hesitate before hugging me. if i'm feeling a certain way i wont want them to anyway and deliberately give them signals not to hug me, which it turns out is pretty easy to do. afterwards i think it wouldve just been easier to grin and bear it in all its awkward glory, rather than spend days fretting about how weird i must come across

I am the same way when it comes to affection, and always have been.

i like to hug pepole i kno,but only when i KNO they are going to hug me and can prepare myself.
i dont like men touching me and i dont like strangers touching me.
i hate it when somebodys talking to you and they put a hand on your shoulder.
or when pepole accidentlely touch me.
that bugs the crap about of me.

Yeah. Hugs have always been awkward for me. So simple a gesture yet I can't ever seem to get it right.

Same. Neighbor woman I went to HS with does this all the time and I can't back out of it and she knows I'm like this. Guys, gtfa. I don't hug guys. Irks me a little more. Otherwise I can take hugs, but it's just awkward. I can't even imagine expressing my feelings to someone who's a love interest either, but that's another subject.
