Nobody ever really responds to anything I post, but I don't usually take it as rejection. I just assume they had nothing to say or were too busy to respond. It does suck if you are constantly feeling ignored, though.

I think another part of it is the fact that almost everyone I know uses Facebook obsessively and I refuse to get a Facebook...

Maybe its not quite rejection, its just that people don't really care.

Some people (usually girls....hey I'm just saying!) post something really inane and possibly with a picture of themselves, and they get at least 5+ comments.

If you have almost no social pull, nobody really is going to care about whats going on in your life or your status update. Makes sense, and thats the way mine is.

I have to really control myself from getting jealous when some guy has all of these girls commenting on his statuses and in pictures with him. And then I feel like man how did I f**k up so bad life, where I have none of that, and they have it all. If that guy didn't have a girlfriend, there would be 5 other girls ready for him. damn

Maybe they just don't have anything to say. You shouldn't care about it too much. After all, do you answer everyone's uninteresting messages? I don't.

I often post things, then delete them if they haven't been answered/liked. It's less about rejection that the fact that I generally start panicking about having said something publicly (or I start noticing that what I said was stupid), but if there are reactions, then it's already too late...

Some people asked me to post some of my drawings on Facebook a couple of times, so I did and nobody commented... I was kind of proud of them too. Oh well...

Then again, I once posted a stupid comment about the toilet roll dispenser in my gym and I got comments from quite a few friends and apparently someones dog. So... yeah...

The only thing I think I ever got a comment or like from in the last couple years was from posting:

"Finally, broke my bench press record at the gym" 1 like and 1 comment

"Back home for the week" 3 comments, one was mine responding to another comment made by my brother.

and the most recent photo change I had there was a back and forth banter between my brother and my best friend.

That's not really rejection. It's not expected people comment on every post.

It kinda depends on who you have for friends on FB. Mine are mostly family that I have nothing in common with, so they rarely if ever comment. And a few of the people who friended me I don't know personally so they don't usually comment either. Only my few regular friends comment.

Maybe you just haven't posted anything really good yet. I posted a pic of a six foot alligator that showed up in our pond the other day, and got TONS of comments! :)
