I'm a 20 year old male in Colorado who was diagnosed with AS at 16. The best way that I can describe myself is would-be extrovert; my interests include languages, avant-garde music, films, and literature, and studying culture. I'm not very religious, I'm an agnostic that's drifting increasingly more towards atheism. I'm a sophomore in college right now, working on a psychology degree.

I am female (that's my real picture over there), 29 years old. I am an American living in Finland. I am currently married, but probably getting divorced. I have a 3½ year old daughter. I work as a technical writer at a company that makes corporate network security software. I became aware that I probably have AS last fall, and I'm in the process of getting diagnosed.

My interests include accident investigation/forensic science, attachment parenting, cooking, computers/hacking (and a very obscure thing called the demoscene), languages, music, opera/musical theatre, science fiction (especially Neal Stephenson's books), sewing, and probably a lot of other stuff I can't think of off the top of my head

That describes me pretty well, too. The few exceptions have been my gay male friends, with whom I feel especially close. I would really like to find more friends like that.

Hi;
I'm Thomas or Tom, 40, married and 1 kid.
Self-diagnosed AS, because I can't see myself saying to my GP "Hi doc, get me a test for Asperger, I think that's what I got!" come to think of it, I should do that just for his reaction on his face.
I love music, nothing special as long as it's special!; F.Zappa (some) Bach (G.Gould) Drop Trio, B.Marley, the young K.Bush (not related to), E.Satie, and more, more, more...
Graphics, logo's, fonts is another thing I love, how things look (I don't care much about clothes) pictures, images.
I'm a visual thinker.
I'm green with a soft spot for car's. ( no porches nor ferrarri's)
I want a friend to whom I can discuss all things and who can discuss all to me.
Is that too much to ask?

BTW I live in Belgium and dutch is my native language (not French)

Cheers,

Drop me a line or you'll never know.

This feels corny, but might as well give it a shot. 31 year old female, known to be rather volatile and at times, difficult, but also loyal and always honest and open. Interests include music, Harry Potter, photography, history, paranormal, mysteries, Star Trek, Doctor Who, writing, walking. Sometimes, very talkative, other times fairly quiet. Almost total loner and introvert, but wanting a few people to chat to one to one on msn or yahoo. Can be obsessive about certain subjects, and have a disconcerting habit of swinging from one topic to another  Have a very strong sense of humour. Up for the challenge? :P

I'm looking for college-aged or above (I'm the former) people to talk with; I enjoy reading literature and social science or historical non-fiction, and listening to jazz. I'm in New York City, and knowing someone local would be even better. Please contact me via PM.

I'm 39 and interested in meeting other aspies in my area. Mainly to see if all of my former close friends had many similar traits in common. I'm a grad student at UO, and really don't have a lot of time any more (though you wouldn't know it from how much I'm wasting on these boards).

(not sure if this should've been posted in the newbie section  )

Hi everyone, I'm Stephen (as you could tell by the username  ) I'm 22 and from Belfast in N.Ireland. Was diagnosed with AS when I was 15. I have, what may be called, a very mild form of AS in that I had poor social interaction skills and eye contact, I've improved on this greatly since and I'm more confident now but still room to further improve. I don't have many friends and it's great to come across a site such as this. ( I don't have any of the other symptoms associated with AS)

My hobbies/interests are keeping up with the latest Hi tech gizmos (ipods, lcd tvs, blu ray/hd dvd technology etc thoygh don't own most of them :P ), many sports such as football, rugby and all American sports, comedies (mostly british not into the american sitcoms)

I'm currently a college student studying for a diploma in I.T which I'm enjoying and have been offered a place at the local university. I've just joined this site and would like to chat to any fellow aspies PM me if you wish.

Hi
I am new to the Atlanta, Ga area, and I'm just looking for some people to hang out with.
I watch a lot of movies. I like to go see live music.
Mostly it would be nice to have some intelligent/interesting people to talk to, who could relate to my problems.
I work everyother week travelling, so I'm here for a week at a time, with not much to do.
I have a car, I can drive you places, lol.
Anyone want to accompany me to the beach this summer ?

Hey people!
I'm a female from Australia, age 24, but I'm quite immature for my age. I spend a lot of time alone immersed in my interests, but I guess thats normal for people here :)

I am obsessed with Craig Nicholls and the Vines. Actually obsessed with music, mostly rock music but I'm open to other styles as well. I have other interests, but my music is the thing that takes up most of my time. I write my own songs and poetry.

I also love art, and enjoy painting in an abstract style. I love reading fantasy and sci-fi books. I like movies that make you think, currently my favourite film is Donnie Darko. I also love wasting time on message boards so I'm sure this place will soon become another home to me :)

I would be happy to chat with pretty much anyone. I'm (generally) quite friendly.
