That was definitely an interesting article. I have a hard time translating those things in real life situations though, because anxiety just turns my brain to static in most instances.

Yeah - I hear ya.

I'd rather sit on a tack than engage in small talk. I also find it hard to 'get out of my head' and stop the anxiety.

The other article about ending the conversation is also handy. Unfortunately for many of us, you cannot end it before it starts!

There is reason to believe that at least a substanial portion of the "non-scientific community" research on real social dynamics in recent years was done by Aspies or our cousins.
