Gah, sorry. I just need to rant.

There are so many things I just LOATHE about people.

1. People who know it's a joke. They just want to shoot you down. Example: (this really happened)
Friend: I'm getting white contacts!
Me: Oh! Hey! Cool! You'll look like Storm! =]
Friend: Um. Actually not really.
Me:...oh... I was kidding >>.
Friend: I know... but still just. No.
*MOODSHOT DENIED*

You knew I wasn't serious. Didn't you? Did you REALLY think I thought you'd look like Storm? No. It was a random comment. you knew that, you did it to be nasty. Don't make any other excuse.

2. Sneaky rudeness Example: (once again this REALLY happened)
"What's that on your shirt?"
"Oh! I think It's Godzilla."
"Why?"
"Cause Godzilla's cool? *nervous laugh*"
"No. That wasn't funny."

Again with the same girl

"You dyed your hair."
"Uh huh."
"That color looks good. Just not on you."

The f**k? Do people SEE what comes out of their mouths? Do people even care?

3. People who are obnoxious.

Examples: (this is an online conversation)
"OMFG L IS MINE!"
"Uh. Alright."
"But didn't you say you liked him to?"
"Yeah... he's my favorite character."
"Well he's mine."
"O.o... alright?"
"I'm his biggest fan. You don't like L as much as I do."
"...Okay?"
"I hate yaoi fans like you! You ruin L by putting him with Light! He belongs to ME!"
"..okay?"

Picture that with worse spelling, and no capitalization or punctuation. And she wouldn't stop. It went on like that for like, 20 minutes. XD

People. They are not real. you know that. I know that. Is it seriously worth it? I'm an anime fan, but in truth... a good number of anime fans are obnoxious.

Also, people who talk on their cellphones VERY LOUDLY SO YOU'RE SURE TO HEAR EVERYTHING THEY'RE SAYING AND BE THOROUGHLY INTERESTED! Um no, we're all looking at you because you need to shut up. No because you're intriguing.

And people who swear loudly in public places. A friend of mine feels the need to swear at the top of her lungs when we go to the mall. It's absolutely humiliating. People aren't looking because they think you're cool. They think you're obnoxious, plain and simple. They think you're just an obnoxious kid unable to control your mouth. And then you complain that adults set too many restrictions. Well duh.

4. People who are rude to elders.

I'm 15. And I was raised to think there is NO excuse to be rude to someone older then you. EVER. Unless they have SPAT on you and spited you in such a way that could lead you to maybe tell them off.

Truth: It is not rebellious to be an obnoxious snot to a teacher.

You really think it's liberating and cool to shout at an old man who's trying to teach you something? Or walk out of class when a teacher's back is turned?

You fail. Seriously. Where's the rebelliousness in hurting somebody who's trying to miraculously get your idiot ass into college? Where's the challenge in shouting and acting up to somebody older then you?

You think you're rebelling by not doing assignments? Are you aware that your teachers in fact. DO NOT CARE? You don't do the work, you won't get the credit. If you don't SHOW UP you won't get the credit. It's not hard to grasp. Don't complain about your bad grade when it's obvious why you got it.

There are more. I just need to think of them >>

Hello,

It does get better once you get out of school. As you grow older, you realize that other peoples opinion just do not matter.

f**k em all is what I say.

(excuse the French)

You are right about people being a pain.

Good Luck and remember, the real world is not High School, (thank God).

Reading the first few paragraphs took me right back to high school! At some point people stopped saying things like that. You have that to look forward to. :-)

Don't get me started. Everybody, myself included, intrinsically has many bad qualities because of the fact that they are people.

I even hate looking at other people. If you really look, the human is a hideous creature. If we were created in God's image maybe that is why God doesn't show himself to us. (Please forgive me for that one, God)

Thanks for pointing out several potentially awkward social situations. :) I've definitely experienced the first, the first part of the second, and the third example. Any ideas on how to respond?

People being rude to elders is annoying as well.

I hate people that fail to see a person for what they really are.

Just because someone knows when they should bite their tongue it doesn't make them a good person. Same with someone who doesn't know when to bite their tongue.. doesn't make them bad.

Only a couple things I didn't agree with:

Depends on the reason for swearing. If it is just to be an idiot, yeah, it is annoying. If it is directly related to a conversation, such as:
"The store sold out of PS3s about an hour ago." or "Your logic board is fried."
"FUUUUUUUUUCK!! !! !! !! !!"
-This would be legitimate. :P
"Hey, look, there's a family with small children!"
"FUUUUUUUUUCK!! !! !! !! !!"
-This would be inappropriate.

This is true...within reason. If I'm dealing with a professor that I have for a class, yes, I will generally respect them. If a professor (one I don't have a class with) comes up to me outside of class and talks to me (and others) like we are children, simply because he thinks he is hot s**t, then no, I don't owe him a damn thing. I will respect professors that care and do a good job, and that at least somewhat respect their students. I will not respect professors that think you are insulting them if you forget to call them "Doctor _____" since they have a PhD.

Age shouldn't be the main reason you are showing someone respect, or trying to not be rude to them.

I'd like to know if there would be any way to respond as well actually >> I just change the subject. It's really no use fighting when the other person is clearly in the mood to be nasty to you....

I don't hate people as such, I just don't like them.
