I understand sarcasm, I just don't like it. It's just as bad as Valley Talk.

Sarcasm is so frustrating.I can never tell when the person is joking or being serious.

I get confused and embarrassed, and sometimes hurt. Someone will say [whatever] and I reply, "Seriously?" or I'll actually answer rhetorical questions and they say (while rolling their eyes) "I was just JOKING." I just feel like they're trying to make me look idiotic or something.

I totally do the same thing! and when teachers are talking/lecturing in class I can never tell if it's rhetorical or they want an answer!

Ehhhh, I don't feel too bad. It depends on the exact situation. I may go straight back on track to making my next comment in the conversation, or I may begin to wonder what the person is exactly thinking of me for not noticing it.

Rhetorical questions are so....... purposeless. I don't like them; I don't use them; I get irritated when other people use them. What is the point in asking a question if you don't want an answer?
