how you deal with being insulted?

I haver a standard reply. I normally say something along these lines: "If you really want to speak to me you don't have to be shy and hide your true feelings. Fine, I'll let you have an autograph - that will go nicely with your shrine of me.". That tends to put them in their place.

Most of the time I don't even notice when people insult me. If I do then it takes me so long to process what they have said and think of a response that by the time I'm ready the blank look on my face while my brain was working makes them think I don't understand what they have said or that I'm slow, so they just give up and move on haha

It depends on who the person is and whether or not I think they were trying to insult me. If I think they were trying to insult me then I insult them right back. If I don't think they were trying to insult me then I tell them that they hurt my feelings and explain why. If they don't care enough to apologize then I insult them.

I recently learned that I can use my Aspergers to my advantage. For instance if someone I don't know well starts speaking to me I have this blank look on my face. If they insult me I will just give them my natural blank stare and calmly say "And your point is?" This throws them off and they don't know what to do.

Personally, I'm just really picky about who I take seriously.
