It forces everyone onto the same plane, You are unable to pick up on subtile facial expressions, Body language, tone of voice. Sarcasm is often clearly defined.

Maybe start a LotR thread here, where you're popular. :jester:

I go to my own messageboard that I have: http://www.geocities.com/evilwalksfree. My username is YourBackDoorMan.

Not any people on lately (it used to be busy), so sometimes I go here:
http://forums1.sonymusic.com/eve/ubb.x?a=frm&s=8581093&f=286101211. This one is where some people are cool, some are cruel. There's a lot of bickering here. But, I don't get picked on. My username is Sin Cityslicker, although I am posting as YourBackDoorMan right now. (they know its me)

Yeah, I never get picked on, even when a certain few are cruel.

Just beware of Tuff Nutts, he's a pain. I get along with him well, but, if you're new, stay clear of him (or at least don't piss him off.)

If you like AC/DC, post here, but DON'T ask who is better, the first or second singer.

DO NOT tell them who sent you. They don't know I have Asperger's.

I'm 1 of the admins there.

You will find that part of it is people on the internet tend to also be rather more geeky than in real life........ (or at least act more geeky)

The internet always brings out the worst in people.

I don't really know to be honest, it just does. I think it's a lot easier to say stuff on the net without thinking about the consequences.

The Internet is just one example of an internet. I must admit I usually spell it the wrong way with the lower case "i" though.

For some reason I always seem to make a lot of enemies on web forums, to the point that I usually end up leaving them. I have no idea why it happens as I do not, that I am aware of, do or say anything wrong.

Michael.

It isn't Asperger's that determines how one gets treated over the internet, it's the communication through only words. On the internet (in forums and chat rooms) people only use words, not the other forms of communication like what one is wearing (which can set the way someone thinks of you I've heard), someone's tone of voice, someone's facial expression, and the many other factors of communication. On the internet, it's a totally different story, as you usually are talking on forums or chat rooms, and you aren't showing your face or your body (except if you're using a webcam). It's sometimes hard for people to set a 'tone' through only the words you type.
