I don't like it when visitors call round ,even if it's family and especially if they just drop in. It's not that I don't care for them.I really do . It's because it causes such an upheaval in my routine and if I don't know them well I don't like them in my house. My husband doesn't under stand. He thinks I'm a recluse.I'mnot.I couldn't bear to have people stay the night either except for my little niece and nephew. How do others feel?

I HATE unannounced visitors. Fortunately my NT husband is fairly introverted, so we simply don't allow them. The closest we ever get is sometimes my sister and her family will call because they're in the neighbourhood. We're also in an apartment building, but if we weren't, I'd have no qualms about not answering the door. I'm working on stretching my limits with planned guesrs, however, partly because I do enjoy having people over sometimes, but also as a karmic payback kind of thing - I've benefited from a lot of hospitality over the years.

When we go to visit family in PEI, I don't like having relatives come over. This is because I want to be left alone and I'm afraid the people will make fun of my brother. I do like visiting relatives, but I prefer it to happen at scheduled times.

Yes, me too! It's very stressful...... makes me not want visitors at all. Even for visiting them, I like lots and lots of advance notice so as to feel more in control of my schedule/days.

Never had to worry about visitors. Being a free thinker in a fundy town cuts that to the quick.

Yes, I do not like unannounced visits and often won't open my door if I am busy. I am usually friendly when I am outside but when I'm in my home, I want my space and privacy. I don't ever like any family visits and I also do not like to visit people, unless I have a good reason to. The only visits I feel comfortable with are visits that have been planned way ahead of time.

I'm exactly the same as you and I'd guess that most of us in here are the same also .

I hate unexpected visitors. Expected visitors can be okay, depending on how much time I had to prepare for them coming and what there personality is like.

I like to know ahead of time and even then I'm often not crazy about it. I don't always mind visitors though.

It depends how the drop by goes but I don't get them that often so most of the time it's just me.
